Prologue and chapter 1 by Lenny

Prologue:

In the world there are places nobody ever visit. The emporium was like that. 

Even though it looked like a cake bakery and your mouth oozed with temptation. Even though the animals were as cute as could be. Even though there were magical army figures. Even though toast tasted like melted chocolate kinder and your mouth watered with delight. Even though chocolate auce oozed out of cake and you were to tempted to tuck in.

Nobody dared to enter the emporium, but that would change as Zac dared to enter.

Chapter 1:

Nobody dared to enter the emporium, but that would change as Zac dared to enter.Zac had always been an anxious kid. He was sitting on his bed and a portal appeared. What did he do? He went through and saw an emporium…

He searched around and every part of the emporium was magical. He saw an ancient china set that was covered with dust, an amber and white husky in a silver round cage and new poppies that were almost as tall as a bean stalk. He saw 8 counters, half of them had footballs in a portrait and the other half had mini mugs waiting to be full of coffee. To his left side he saw five year old kids kicking a ball around and they were better than prime Pelé. Amazing cyan Royal Blue Tangs swimming around in an 8 foot fish tank that was magical. 

“I see you’ve found my emporium and my magic book” Whispered a mysterious voice and what even was a magic book? Zac found a book and read it, but half way through it was empty…

Magma unicorn

The magma unicorn has to live in boiling hot habitats or it will disintegrate. It also has an interesting  feature which allows it to grow bigger,if its enemy is bigger than them.It breaths furious,scorching fire,which makes him smaller because he’s partly made out of concentrated ,blue fire and it drains his energy.If it has no enemy it will create a rainbow and distract the other unicorns to the buoyant  rainbow and then he will jump out and then kills them.

If I were a black door,

I would lead you 

Into a cove of crows fluttering,

Spiders crawling,

And bats dozing.

If I were a red door,

I would show you

Raspberries being picked,

Rose petals fluttering,

And ruby gems glistening.

If I were a purple door,

I would share with you

Plums growing slowly,

Grapes getting eaten 

And blackcurrant juice being sipped.

If I were a green door,

I would make you,

Roll around in grass on a summer’s morning,

I would make you jump on lily-pads

And make you jump around at FLIP OUT.

If I were a yellow door,

I would take you,

To golden daffodils delighted with smell,

Lemons full of tang

And bumblebees sucking nectar.

If I were a white door,

I would stop you,

From throwing snowballs,

Drinking cold milk on a crisp December morning

And trying to write on paper.

If I were a door by Lenny

In the magical emporium by Lenny

In the room of shapes,

my hands converted to triangles.

In the room of balloons,

my voice was helium.

In the room of frost,

Ice started to burn.

In the room of mirrors,

All my regrets flashed. 

In the room of science,

An explosion flashed before my eyes.

In the room of sorcery,

I solved a Rubix-Cube in 5 seconds.

In the room of money,

Pound coins sat there until greed entered your brain.

In the room of space,

I started to breathe fresh air.

In the room of language, 

I instantly learnt German.

I want to paint

I want to paint

the blue sky with the sun piercing through the curtains, a hungry, sleek Jaguar ,as deadly as the black mamba, basking in the sun, a bell ten at the edge of a cliff overlooking a blazing sun set, a short shiny clock ticking time steadily.

 

I want to paint

a fox hunting a pigeon with it’s sharp, shiny claws out and eyes narrowed, a field full of luscious green shoots, a tree swaying in the cool brees the blossom looking like fireflies growing on the tree.

Prologue:

You’ve probably been on an airship when the clouds turn to candy-floss. Remember how it feels to look down and feel the wind brush against your body? 

I bet you’ve enjoyed a sky ship ride to sunny Wales when you thought you would be in a car.

But you should also try a 0.1 rated sky ship with thunder crackling and lightning flashing and you get a dark feeling in your stomach. When the ship explodes and you are shocked how you aren’t hurt by the explosion, when all the people are running riots, thats when sky ships will haunt you for eternity.

And some say they’ve seen cloud dragons roaming around the clouds, trying to stop you from having a nice day. You probably won’t believe this but some say there are lightning strikes that last for 10 seconds in some clouds.

Opening:

Jeffery had never believed in dragons. However, his younger sister had always believed in them. They were about to set off in the airship. Then Ellen (Jeffery’s younger sister) wondered if they would see any dragons. Then a storm came in, but for some reason they still set off.

One hour in the storm had calmed. Ellen had always were these tamed creatures that were loving towards humans. Little did she know that would change today. Captain Patrick suddenly said “7 dragons have been reported circling the ship, thank you.” The only way they could go was down… Jeffery almost had a heart attack because he couldn’t believe there was dragons. 

Ellen stared at Jeffery. Jeffery stared back. They hugged each other as tight as they could whilst they were going down. They were going down at 5MPH because everyone was standing up. The place was like a riot, a stampede or even a tsunami run.

A moment later, the dragons were setting the ship on fire, the clouds turned to gas and the lightning turned red. They finally saw land…

How to look after a dragon by Lenny

Have you ever wanted to look after a dragon and thought it was impossible? Well the impossible just came possible.

What you need to do:

You need to fireproof a place in your garden.

Make a sleeping area out of rocks.

Make sure there are no trees near by.

Clear out a room in your house for a play room.

Make sure you have no pets otherwise there will be attacks left, right and centre.

You need to be used to very loud snoring because the dragon won’t stop snoring.

You will need to put a collar on it.

You will need to put some tasty food out every hour.

Now lastly make sure you warn your neighbours.

What you need: a collar, some tasty food, a large garden area and some rocks.

What to be worried about:

You need to worry about fire coming out of the mouth, so we recommend that you go to the vet to get this part removed.

The size is pretty big so you might need to worry about it knocking over your house.

You probably need to worry about other people because when it has been with you for a week it will get used to you, but with other people it might get a bit crazy.

Also they live for 700 years, so it’s with you for a lifetime + for generations!!!

What to do if they get ill:

You will need to go to your local dragon store to get a large bucket of dragon medicine. Then go get some Calpol and mix it in and it will eventually turn red. Now you will need to put it in your dragons mouth, while you are doing this you may find it easier to wear some heat resistant gloves so that you don’t get burnt. Do this 2 times a day. One at 9:00AM and one at 10:00PM. You should see an improvement in your dragons health in about 1 week.

Personality:

All dragons are different, but all like being alone. In about a week or 2 your dragon will start to know you. It will let you feed it a lot easier and it will start letting you pet it. In about 1 month it will start letting you sit on it and then it will fly with you on it. It will let you do anything with it.  The dragon will have a lot more comfort now and know what you are going to do with it. 

Remember there are tournaments to be won with that dragon, so make the most of it.

Fire unicorn by Lenny

The fire pegasus is a common unicorn in North America. No one knows whereabouts they live but they have been spotted in forest fires volcanoes and bushfires. The population is about 100,000! 91,959 of these creatures are in North America.

This type of unicorn has a ruby red horn which shoots out magma. The horn has special features such as molten lava, magma and much more. Scientists think that they have blue hooves  because it represents the fourth colour of the fire which is blue. There is only colours of the fire so there is no albino, forest green or blackberry purple. It has a golden mane which sets you on fire. It can grow up to 200cm in height. The tail is orange and red. To tell the difference between male and female is that male horns grow up to 10cm and females horns grow up to 5cm. The body is amber and they sometimes get yellow and red markings.

Generally, they live everywhere in North America. In the USA they can live in the Yellowstone volcano. However, they live in lava pools and bush fires. They can live up to 700 years! They migrate from Mexico to Costa Rica often. When a unicorn goes in the volcano a new unicorn is born. 

Surprisingly, the fire unicorn munches on nearby rocks. However, it needs to be a certain type of rock like one form 13-22 inches. When they roam around grass they bite it and save it for when they are poorly. All they really eat are rocks.

Generally, in volcanoes they dive right down to the bottom. It is thought that they roam around the molten lava for 10 hours a day. However, the volcanoes react by rising the magma. They sleep deep down in the volcano on some rock.

When they go deep enough down in the volcano or lava pool a new baby is born. However, the baby doesn’t have any wings so they can’t get out. They have their child hud there and that is why they love volcanoes so much.
