Chapter 3

The summer holidays were closing in like waves from the savage sea. Every day, Sam wondered of to the park (where the cool children play). To Sam’s surprise, the park was deserted only one or two children were there unlike the city it would be full to the brim. City buildings were so dull no green and always the unclean air but the country side was blanketed with colours and the super smelling air was refreshing. tall grass swaying in the wind it was parricide.

At the dead on night, Sam darted into the deep dark woods ; sometimes Sam would sit and play chess with the Sabretooth (which is an actual Sabretooth). Then they stare of into the sunset and maybe look at the stars. every so often sabretooths ear would poke up form a rustle in the bushes; then would return with an unlucky rabbit. They got to know the great barn owl who flew like a silent ghost across the fields and the nightingales who still sang their mournful songs.

The one thing that worried Sam was that someone might stumble across Sabretooth. In the daytime, he kept Sabretooth hidden inside the darker depths of land, sleeping in the thickest places where the bushes and brambles offered camouflage. At night, he wandered over many miles but given his dark fur, and shy nature, he was almost impossible to see.

Suddenly it happened, one night on the 16th of October Sam was making his daily trip when he saw the unbelievable. Sabretooth as was going to out of it hiding place growling. Sam then realized it wasn’t any bug he was trying to scare it was a human. ” RUN SAM IT IS A SABRETOOTH,” Shouted Noah. Remembering in a flash, Sam realized it was nerdy nosy Noah the most hated kid in the village. “What are you doing here?” Sam asked. “I know everything and so will the village,” confected Noah,

Sam walked into the house head drooped like a disapproved idea. ” what is wrong with you,” Miss Tucker asked. ” Well Noah knows about it…” I began. A look of horror spread across her face. They came up with three ideas: Kidnap him and take him to the fire; Tell everyone it is fake or hide sabretooth somewhere else.

The Ship of ghosts

On the ship of ghosts,
bodies rot for eternity
as forgotten memories are wasted.

On the old dirty deck
I felt the bitter wind flow though me
like a fan a full blast.

Around the ship
oil spills into the ocean
as all wildlife turned to bones.

Blinding fog blanketed the ship
as distant screams could be heard.

The old oars are made of bumpy bone
which glides in circles in the oil.

I’m ready to get out of here but the only exit is towards the mander the scarlet egg with stripes of black going around it. Suddenly, Anna starts talking, ” It’s ok,” she said trying to keep calm. “What are you doing” I whisper. Then the magma mander’s claws started to scratch the wall, “keep going” I tell Anna realizing my mistake. “We came to protect your egg” Anna explained. Worried, the mander decided to vomits lava in front of us.

The magma mander pauses and tilts its head his eyes staring at us with a cold stare. “We wont harm you,” I say with all my courage. The mander’s claws retreating back and removing the lava. We stroll by and exit.

Luckily tonight was a meteor shower, in the sky as bolides flue past the night sky it was like a shooting
We walk along the beach, as the sun rises from the horizon ;the sea is gentle now. “Hello Barry your up early,” Peter calls. ” Yes umm well you see,” I said cluelessly,
” we’re just going to the shops,” said Anna quickly. “Who are you,” Peter said “This is Anna my new friend” I said and walked away. We clamber up to the window of my attic giggling while we enter. ” That was close,” I say. “Well we need a plan and quick,” She said, I nod in approval.

People of yacht-on-sea I must remined you that 40 years ago the legendary discovery of the magma mander was sighted of his egg this. Could allow people to gain powers like when Shackleton discovered the egg that allowed him to get off of Antarctic and to save his men. He then said no man deserves this much power and smashed it. But a cave has been found with eggs in. “Oh no,” Anna said this isn’t good

This is horrid news. The egg future could not end
well now our work has begun.star. While it reflects of the glittering sea, I sigh finally we are out of the cave. We can’t allow anyone to find this. How can we stop people from invading on the manders land. Maybe we can : stop people invading the cave; move the egg to a safer place; or ( my favorite) we could spread fake rumors that the mander has been spotted on the beach.

Chapter 2
20 minuets later, I emerge from my hiding spot, “why did you want me to be alone,” I asked Outside I could’ve sworn I could hear rain tapping on the window. People giggle when I tell them: that’s why I wanted you to be alone. She explained. ” Why were you trying to hide,” I asked angrily. Waves wiped the wall while wind wacked the window. It was like it was getting worse and worse.” I saw the mean magma mander,” she replied

Around half an hour later, we stand scanning for life forms: no humans; no animals; and no mander.
somehow my new friend magically, Who tells me her name is Anna, Is a very good persuader. Lighting illuminates the dark sky as distant rumbles echo. Outside is like a deserted desert with nothing for miles. I am worried what if I get lost in the dark? “First we should look there,” Anna said. It was the biggest building in the town. ( it’s where my dentist works.) But why would a mander be there maybe by the pier.

We set off to the beach and noticed that Yacht-on-sea is looking very unwelcoming : the arcade is locked up and closed; most stall products have been trashed and destroyed; and the pier is littered. Peter’s pie shop has been closed in preparation for the storm. Litter drifts by like a tumble weed.

Suddenly, I notice footprints, “Look Anna! footprints,” I scream. They were the footprints she saw earlier. Follow that trail !

Desperate for safety and warmth, we dash under the pier to the stairs. When we got up the stairs all my bravery was wiped out with a simple noise. Wet wind wiped while water would whack wildly. The floor board wobbled and it felt like I would fall. Then a rustle in the tent. What was in there?

We entered then the lights flickered I knew this was a bad idea. It is like a horror movie. We stepped closer armed with a stick ready for battle. As thunder rumbled my heart froze. but my curiosity filled me and I had to explore, “Come on Anna.”

Outside lightning rips open the sky and on the inside sudden flashes happen every second. Suddenly the magma mander leaps out lighting up the tent then it jumps onto the railing it skin becoming rock. Before the sea swallow’s it the mander put a wooden bin on fire. Luckily, it started raining and put out the fire.

Days of the Week

On Monday, I found a old dark hall
consumed in darkness daring people
to come in.​

On Tuesday I walked to the park ​and watched
a crumpled crisp packet in the
gutter watch ​the world go by.

On Wednesday I saw on old statue
hidden in the bushes like
it was being hunted.

On Thursday I touched a
perfectly placed picture pulling me in.

On Friday I tasted fear as I ran on not
letting the fear eat me up.

On Saturday I felt the dark shadow
whispering in my ear. ​

On Sunday I dreamed of a rainbow falcon
