Waking up to something different: The Nowhere Emporium

Jack found himself in a field, in a dip between some mountains: steep, towering, looming like giant golems of stone; great, green, luscious like a spell of life had been placed on it. At least half of the mountains were covered with crimson red-wood trees: like giant bloodstained stakes on a giant scale.

Jack saw a slither of gold out of the corner of his eye, he looked for it and he found it, he gasped for breath, a great, shining, golden temple made out of mahogany and engraved with mesmerizing patterns and symbols met his gaze. “What is this place?” Jack breathed in amazement. Jack strode carefully and cautiously toward the temple, in hope of some advice: begging for some help on the inside, truly, truly begging for something to aid in soothing his nerves.

“Slave get back to the altar!” someone in red and gold robes barked at Jack. Jack spun around. “W-wh-w-who are you, where are you?” Jack asked. “How dare you talk back to your master like that!” came a voice radiating superiority and disapproval. Then someone abruptly stepped out of the shadows with a cruel looking whip and growled at Jack, “Get back to the altar sacrifice!”

Jack began to worry, he felt the anxiety and distress begin to build up, surely there had been a mistake, surely not, no it couldn’t be him- he had never been here before…Jack began to sweat profusely…he began to panic…he began to rapidly think of ways to escape. “Get back to the altar now, slave, sacrifice!” growled the voice again. Now Jack really had something to worry about.

Jack began to worry even more, so much more, how was he going to get out of this? He needed help and he needed it fast…or he wouldn’t be needing anything else ever again.

Chapter two-the incan mask

Jack could not stop listening to the wonderful whispers that led him all over the place, until they stopped in front of a finely cut and carved mask, ancient and old…and it looked strangely spiritual too. All Jack wanted to do was to touch it and to hold it…

“Get away from that, if you value your life very much!” shouted a man in immaculate clothing, “it may be beautiful but it is I assure you very deadly.” Jack reared back from the mask as the owner strode forward and stood in front of the mask giving Jack a look like: look at anything but this. So Jack went away and looked at something else.

Jack knew that the shopkeeper would have to go eventually so he acted like he had already forgotten about the mask. He just needed the shopkeeper to go and then he could carry on with his investigation. “Stupid mandarin investors, always going on about this, that and the other,” said the shopkeeper, frustratingly striding away. Jack smiled to himself.

Jack walked toward the mask. It seemed to him that it was his birthday again. Jack reached out a hand slowly, then withdrew his hand and decided to look at something else. On an impulse Jack darted back and touched the mask-fleetingly. Something happens.

Jack backs away from the mask but is thrown back forward, then to the side, then all over the place. It seemed as if the floor was cracking and turning green- almost like grass- the cabinets seemed to grow upward and lose their colour until they were grey- almost like mountains- and the items there seemed to grow into giants and gained a reddish wood quality-almost like trees, redwood trees. Then Jack face planted on the floor and saw no more.

When Jack finally regained enough strength to stand up and fight of all the nausea he noticed that he was in a totally different place.  He was in a dip between some mountains covered with redwood trees and in a field covered with grass and flowers. Then Jack noticed a glimmer of gold out of the corner of his eye, he looked for it and found it…a great wooden temple covered with gold and…ancient incan symbols but…the inca had all died out by now unless the mask had…oh no it couldn’t have…but it had…the mask had sent Jack back in time.

The ancient treasure

If I were summoned to make a treasure I would take:

A corrupt, crackling shot of lightning,

the subtle wisp of an incredulous, ingenious idea from Albert Einstein,

and the echo  of the shallow, shocking secrets of a cave.

The radiant warmth of a brilliant, beautiful halo from a decrepid angel,

the ancient, archaic wisdom of an oracle,

the aura of a destructive, demonic tooth from a megalodon.

Should dragons be hunted?

Dragons are great beasts of power but the question is are they friend or foe and should they be?

They are dangerous and unsafe to be around but could they end up being our one focus in life? They are also thoughtful and have a deep affection for us so in my heart I think that it would be a cruel and pointless thing to do if we kill or hunt them. They could be the cause of a completely unforeseen era that previously we could never have conceived of, so why don’t we wait and see what happens instead of killing a race when you wanted to kill an individual being.

If we love to live our life then we best not disturb the dragons or the will reign fire upon us and it will be all our fault, however if we try to get rid of them there may be a chance of victory and possible survival but we will never know if we never try. What if we tried to forge an alliance with the dragons that way there would be no need for so much bloodshed.

Many a dragon or a person could die if we do nothing but if we do nothing even more may die.

Wanted dragon tamer.

Victorious dragon tamer needed desperately at our valley. We will need a great and noble swordsman who knows exactly what to do in every situation. This is no fake news we need  a fighter and a dragon tamer or this may be the end for us. If you think that you can take this challenge on head to head, we need to ask you if you can: fight for your life with a sword, heal those who are wounded and tame the most feral and demonic dragons. If you can, please save us.

For fulfilling this task you will receive…

. a mountain of gold

.  an astrolabe that can see into the future

. an eternal and infinite meal  which will always be at your fingertips

Please be aware that this dragon can: breathe fire, spit acid, live in fire/lava, can fly and swim-in lava, can change its colour at will, and has a temperature forcefield. However we can offer the best medical care in the world.

Please call…997437 8370, to rid us of this thundering magma dragon.

The beginning of the end…

Hi do you remember me Infinium? Well it doesn’t matter if you do or if you don’t because the more people who know of this the better my revenge will be.

I am well on my way to the soon to be grave of God…heaven. I have decimated the human race: their cities, their families and their leaders. The amount of screams that I have heard is shocking but none of this would have had to happen if God hadn’t imprisoned me, this show of my strength would never have been needed…but he did and know he will regret it and now he will know the true extent of my power…he will know that it is infinite and when he grovels at my feet begging for mercy, I will show him a mercy that he doesn’t deserve… a mercy of death.

Something you shouldn’t know but something I will tell you

Hello again. Do you remember me, I’m Infinium your worst nightmare. I have a kingdom to conquer and dragons to slay. It’s time to seek my blackest revenge on the person who trapped me so that I could tell no-one of the secret that I had found their secret. I have already overridden multiple cities and am well on my way… to heaven, soon to be hell. You’re next on my path of destruction so my only advice for you is to run.

Or you will meet the same fate as the stargrazer did wrecked, alone and totally uncared for. I wished I could have saved the stargrazer and her crew but I feel no desire to do the same for you.

CHAOS IS ALWAYS A PART OF LIFE

The stargrazer is damaged and wounded and can’t maintain altitude for much longer. The ship’s provisions are running low soon we will either plummet to our death, die of frostbite or starve to death. There was no possibility of survival or so it may seem. But one thing is certain we have to make a decision about the ivory dragon on deck.

It is now three days after the decision was made. The dragon must be woken.

I am no longer aboard the stargrazer- it crashed-two of my ribs are broken along with four fingers and one arm, pain is so immense I wonder at the divine will giving me strength to carry on moving.

Seven days after crash, I am bruised and battered and barely surviving. Waking the dragon was a bad choice it ate everyone but me and died after I impaled it with my bejewelled sword.

Eleven days after crash, I have lost the will to carry on in this world.

Thirteen days after crash, my hope has been restored after seeing the temple of the pale one. A place where I may heal.

I have lost count of the days after the crash and have discovered a deadly secret. I have been imprisoned and have been enchanted to eternal sleep.

In my last moments of consciousness I will tell you the secret I have discovered… life… is … nothing but… an illusion of the devil’s making God is not our saviour but our worst nightmare…….

My name is Infinium and one day I may well be… your worst nightmare!

The end of something magnificent something that is dead.

This is a the memory of something that is dead but deserves to be remembered something that I wanted but could never have. The stargrazer the last and first attempt to rediscover something that was deadly, dangerous and that something was me. It was attacked by vicious fiends we call dragons it crashed freeind me from my infinite slumber- the dragons will wish that they had never been borne. For I am the essence of hate of death and of power. Hi my name is Infinium and I’m your worst nightmare.
