The Magical Bureau – Chapter 4

End of Chapter 3 – Through the door

For Daniel’s surprise, he saw a massive tent and inside it was everythig he needed : Food , clothes , water, blankets , comfy pillows , a sleeping bag , a pen and a book, a pair of binoculars, a rope (to climb up and down , a comb and a couple of breathmints. Every item had a name carved onto that object, which was ‘Daniel Holmes’. Daniel was extremley shocked. On top of the Effiel Tower, was everything he ever intended. Before Daniel began exploring , he first had marshmellows, which was cooked using fire matches.

“Hello Paris!” Screamed Daniel, into thin air. Everything he said would echo back, so Daniel carried on shouting into the air, which clearly pointed out to the birds, to not mess with this peculiar boy. Suddenly he heard a voice, loud enough to blow someone’s eardrums,  “Come back,” hissed a voice behind him.

Chapter 4 – The Return

Ignoring the sudden voice that filled his ears, unmesmerisingly. Daniel halted, the door wasn’t there it completely vanished in thin air. There was no door but there was a door, which was transparent, and woven into the starry night . Daniel opened the door and found himself to be in the elevator of the Eiffel Tower. He saw lots of food, which was outdated, and it had ants everywhere. It was appalling. Daniel luckily spotted another door, he was even more curious of how terrible this was going to be. It was a pool big enough to fit thousands of people or even more. Daniel saw something glow in the pool it was faint and darkened by the night, but it was still glowing brightly. He jumped into the pool and saw another door, glowing brightly on top of his face, it was blinding.

He swam closer and closer whilst holding his breath and turning red. He remembered his swimming techniques and whooshed through the greenish blue water. In summer camp, (includes swimming) his teacher, Mr Carter, had said he had the speed of a cheetah and that he sawm in waves like a whale, Daniel could hear footsteps ascending so he quickly dived in the water and began swimming as fast as he can.

Down, he went and saw the glowing outline of the door, he was now gasping for breath, but he carried on kicking harder. Grasping the door handle, he tugged. With a snap of a finger, the water  was emptying itself, she ran through the door and into the hallway, of the Emporium. Exhausted, he lay there panting, like a fish out of water. The door was closed. It was dry. Incredibly, his clothes and hair were dry. He was back in the Bureo. What had happened?

Ashamed, he tiptoed, into the exact same place he was before he went into this tiering short journey. Mr Silver stared at him with fury as he had disobeyed his rules, “Ah, I see you have come back to us. Did you find what you were looking for?” Daniel shook his head.

“The thing is,” Mr Silver explained, ” you can visit and create many unique wonders but the past cannot be undone , and we never find what we ever expect! Still, there is another day.” He put down his wooden quill and his Book Of Wonders, and smiled.

“Come back another day,” he said, holding the door open.

Daniel started at the street and then stared at the wonderful shop. He was hoping Mr Silver would let him stay for a night, but when he looked behind him, The Magical Bureo and Mr Silver disappeared.

Maybe tommorow, thought Daniel, as he walked home. Maybe tommorow. What he didn’t notice was that she was being followed by a Silent Owl. It flew on top of a tree branch and peered over the edge, staring at Daniel closley. The Silent Owl, tilted it’s head and to one side and sighed. It had all the time in the world. Instead of choosing someone else to stalk, he chose Daniel. The boy with the courage.

The Magical Bureau, End of Chapter 1 – Through the door

“I see you’ve found my book of marvels,” hissed a voice. Daniel gasped. His face was stunned and shocked. He looked up at the owner, and saw that on his shoulder lay an owl, shaking its head at him,  disapprovingly.

Chapter 2 – A Warning Disobeyed

“My name is Lucian Silver,” he said, staring at Daniel, who had pins and needles and was standing uncomfortably. “This is my Emporium. Is it to your liking?” Daniel didn’t know what to say so he just nodded, peacefully. “This is my Book of Wonders. You are more than welcome to look around, but you are certainly not welcome to touch or even look inside of my Book Of Wonders!” exclaimed Mr Silver.     “Is the book your diary?” questioned Daniel. “No, silly boy, it is not , it is just a private book , which you are not allowed to read,” said Mr Silver , shocked. “Are you sure that it is ‘ just a book ‘? said Daniel, calmly. “It is none of your business, although it is time for me to go, so feel free to look around.” replied Lucian Silver, smiling at Daniel.  With a blink of an eye, Lucian Silver disappeared.

Daniel started to look around , everywhere he looked was magical, he saw silver magpies flying past him and disappearing by the red curtain. Everywhere Daniel looked his eyes always found the golden book. It was like the book was calling for him. He glanced all around him, just to see if anyone was looking, and then he picked up the book and read the front cover. “The Book Of Wonders,” sighed Daniel.  He flipped through the pages and carried on looking from where he left off. There were drawings of cities, and ink was covered onto the page and was written in a sacred language, that made Daniel even more curious!

The next thing Daniel knew , was that he was holding the quill in his hand and he began drawing the top of the Eiffel Tower, he drew the sunset which was above the purple horizon. He drew everything he ever desired.

Suddenly, the book started to shimmer unexpectedly, and it was like Daniel was getting sucked into the unknown. Daniel screamed as the book fell onto the floor with a loud ” THUD!” He was stuck in darkness and, ‘The Book of Wonders,’ lay on the cold floor.

Daniel looked around, everywhere he gazed at, was blank, then a faint building looked familiar to Daniel, it looked a bit like the Eiffel Tower. Daniel stumbled closer to the faint Eiffel Tower and remembered that was the tower he drew in the Book Of Wonders. Without thinking, Daniel Holmes was standing still on top of the Eiffel Tower, looking at the cars past by, the lights illuminated the city’s view.

The Magical Bureau

Prologue

There are some places people don’t dare to go. The Magical Bureau was like that.

Even though at Christmas , the illuminating lights by the door would glisten in the sparkling night. Even though, the mysterious tricks sound promising. Even though, the colourful sweets of every size and shape has been put on display. Still no one ventures any further than the pavement. No one that is until Daniel.

Chapter 1 – Through The Door

Daniel had always been curious and every time he walked by he would stare at the door wondering if any one went inside. His mother warned him many times not to go inside the Emporium as it will lead into trouble. One morning, Daniel was walking down the street when he noticed something strange about the Bureau.  For once , the door was open and without thinking, he stepped inside. Everywhere he looked, the walls were vivid and bright. He looked up and saw a chandelier swinging from the sky and the birds in the cage sang a song that filled the shop. There was a chocolate fountain with strawberrys at the side. Something caught Daniel’s eyes it was a golden covered book and a quill carved with the name ‘ Lucian Silver ‘. He looked through the book, staring at the images tightly stuck onto the book. “I see you’ve found my book of marvels,” hissed a voice. Daniel gasped. His face was stunned and shocked. He looked up at the owner, and saw that on his shoulder lay an owl, shaking its head at him,  disapprovingly.

In The Magical Buero

In the room of moonlights,

Stars glistened and shone across the sky.

In the room of food,

Every meal I thought of appeared!

In the room of wishes,

Genies hovered above the golden floorboard.

In the room of magical objects,

I found Aladdin’s lamp.

In the room of cars,

I sat in an old fashioned Ferrari.

In the room of ghosts,

Mean looking spirits sneered at me as I walked by.

In the room of invisible insects,

A bee stung me just as I was about to move.

In the room of tears,

Water ran down walls and ceilings.

In the room of clocks,

The ticking wouldn’t stop.

In the room of nightmares,

I found a zombie crawling out of it’s grave.

Should Dragons be hunted?

We are discussing whether or not if dragons should be able to roam around freely or if they should be hunted. We do not have a complete decision yet. Additionally, this is a hot topic at the moment because there are Wind Dragons making homes on clouds and they are flying around in groups,  and this event is causing people to feel frightened or unsafe.

Furthermore, some people argue that Wind Dragons should be given a chance to prove that they are sensible and not thieves. The local animal trainers are working with some specific dragons to draw up a code of harmless behaviour so that dragons and humans can live together without fear.  Witnesses, have seen Wind Dragons chewing bits of clouds and mist, clearing areas on foggy days.

A huge amount of people think that dragons should be killed or caged because it has been said that dragons are bloodthirsty for humans blood. Also, dragons destroy buildings and they have been known to harm humans. Moreover, people argue that dragons are cold – hearted and reckless. They are also known to be clever and sneak, especially when stealing and they hide their treasures in their homes and caves.

My main conclusion is that we should try to live alongside with these mesmerising Wind Dragons instead of trapping them and making them yell in pain. My main opinion is that these dragons can help us in goblin attacks and many more worse incidents.
