The Flood! Cameron SWW Suspense Writing

Sarah whelped, the rain was getting worse. The night was getting darker. Lightning vibrated through trees, fire perished into ash. Thunder echoed through the air as wind targeted Sarah. Pulling up her hood, rocks crawled across the ground causing her to stumble into a wall.

She sprinted up the road at incredible paste swapping her heads angles to search for her house. A smile dragged her cheeks up as she located her address 76 Oak Street. Collapsing through the door, Dad peered his hand around the wall corner shuffling it trying to grab the newspaper, Sarah grabbed it, slapped his hand and pronounced
“Not even a hello?” before frisbeeing it into the dog’s mouth.

Day time aged, night was young. The television fired up as the news turned up.
“Warning! This is not a drill, Extreme three thousand meter high tsunamis are heading to North Carolina. It will hit Middleton town in 48 hours first before Lawndale city in 39.”
“WHAT!?” Sarah screamed. Mum stepped out of the kitchen and Dad actually looked like he paid attention for the first time in years.

“We need to go!” yelled everyone in the house! Dad ran to the tv and unplugged it, as Mum ran upstairs digging through her draws. I stood there. Still.
“Honey?! Come on we need to go! Pack your stuff! Why aren’t you moving? Are you alright?”
Sarah’s minds felt permanently broken. SMASH! Glass shattered as water observed the house, Mum and Dad were gone. She coughed as the water wrapped itself around her. There was no escape.
