Summer’s ‘You Are’ Poem

Summer’s Poem

You are the smell of delicious cooked chicken ready for my belly.

You are the sound of howling, swirling winds in a ferocious hurricane.

You are in picturesque Brixham waiting for the glorious sunshine to peep through the riggings on the Golden Hind.

You are the scent of sweet lavender that goes in my washing machine.

You are a cute kitten as squeaky as a  mouse.

You are the sound of an abandoned forest, lost in the darkness.

You are a juicy lemon being squeezed for my refreshing lemonade.

You are the end of a long train journey.
