CHAPTER 2 – CRASH LANDING

“Hold tight we’re going down!” announced Captain O’Shea over the megaphone. Max stared in horror as the ground got closer and closer. They could see a large, stone castle, in a snowy region, with a colossal black line meandering its way up to it. Curled black spikes seemed to be zapping things with a red light. Coloured flags lined the perimeter, but the weird thing was that the little black specks couldn’t seem to get past them. All of a sudden, there was a tidal wave of snow and ice, the skyship gave a final whirr of life. Making his way to the back of the ship, Max suddenly heard a scratching behind him. ‘Sh sh oww yyyour ssselff,’ stammered Max, petrified at what it might be. But what was it?
