Chapter 2 – The Foreign Land

Chapter 2- The Foreign Land

Leah

The starship carefully approached the ground, a massive forest, filled with a variety of tall trees, sat beneath it. With a shudder and a creek, the ship landed next to a large pond surrounded by colourful flowers. Jacko was glad to be away from the bat-dragon and safe on the ground and Johnson let out a sigh of relief. They peered over the side of the ship, the sun was beginning to set and trees made long shadows on the floor. All of a sudden, a light-fury dragon came from behind a cloud and swooped down towards the crystal, clear water. Jacko knew they must wait for the dragon to leave before exploring the island, so he sat down and waited. A few minutes later, the light-fury dragon ascended into the sky, blew a ring of lightning, flew into it and disappeared.
