The Maverick Episode 2 Libby

They had landed. Nathan and Nicole glimpsed at the vague clouds poised above them. “According to the weather, the storm has passed; we should carry on west. I’m sure we can make shelter somewhere there.”

“Wait!” Nathan exclaimed as he pointed to a strange circle of stranded stones, towering over the cactus’ in the barren desert, “We could rest under those stones for the night.” So, Nicole gathered soft lumps of grass and dry leaves for comfort, and Captain Blaire used some of the tools, that he had collected from the sky ship, to create a long-lasting, warm fire which ended up being a damp pile of wood leaning against one of the rocks in the stone henge. Running the dragon tooth through the wounded body, his arm gave out the last of its energy. With the fly trap only cut half open, Nathan fainted. “Nathan! Nathan! You’re my only hope!”

“Excuse me,” Captain Blaire explained, “I’m here too. I can help! You and Nathan aren’t the only ones here. I am. Do you understand?”

“Yes, yes! Just stop complaining and get us out of here.”

When the fly trap was dead, Nicole and the forgotten Captain Blaire climbed out, and observed the sight of a dream location. Stones towered atop each other, streams of waterfalls spat little drops of water on their bare toes and a huge, white mansion stood before their eyes. The sun shone on the wooden balcony below. The entrance pebbles left a huge luring glare to anyone or anything who stares. However, Nathan, who was still being dragged along by Captain Blaire (who did not like it) wasn’t able to take in the beautiful landscape. When, “Nicole, Nathan,”came a voice, “Nathan, Nicole,” came another….
