Should dragons be able to live here?

We have been debating whether or not dragons should be able to live here. This is a hot topic right now as a group of dragons have requested to stay here and it has caused many people to worry.

Many people believe that all dragons should be hunted because they are highly known for tearing down trees and nature and even going into people’s gardens just to find plants. There has been a big group of dragons here before, and as soon as they arrived there was a big increase in the number of missing pets. Additionally, dragons (especially pocket dragons) have an eye for shiny and expensive things like jewelry, and as they are so small they can easily take it from you or out of your pockets to bring back to their families.

On the other hand, some people argue that dragons should be able to stay here and be given a chance to show that they mean no harm or damage towards anyone. More people have said that they would be even more comfortable with the dragons coming if the council placed rules for the dragons to follow and if they break the more than three times, they are wiped from the earth! Furthermore, they also believe that they can stay, because first of all, snow dragons can control the weather and make it cold at any time needed. Secondly, pocket dragons can go in children’s pockets at school and help them work out answers and aso comfort them.

Having considered all of the arguments in the village, I believe that we should give dragons a second chance, especially if rules are placed by the council! My reasoning for this is the fact that if we let the dragons join us, they are more likely to help us in the next war or battle instead of attacking us and our country like last time. And a bonus is that they could send hail in the way of enemies trying to attack us.
