Catching a midnight black dragon

Catching a midnight black dragon…

I have never escorted fighter jets around America’s lush redwood forests but I have led my cat through the cat flap onto the sun baked grass.

I have never rode a sled pulled by huskies pounding through the majestic mountains like race cars but I have ridden in a car to the rural, coastal town of Aldbrough.

I have never captured a midnight black dragon thrashing through the sky on a silent halloween night but I have caught a buzzing bee and led it to a vibrant rose covered in pollen.

I have never caught an arrow shot by a centaur in the forbidden forest in the cold, still night but I have caught a frisbee thrown by my dad at Highgate Park.

I have never seen an arctic wolf stalking around a frozen lake in the arctic but I have seen a lively labrador hopping across the Heath.

I have never watched an arctic fox ripping away at a reindeer carcass but I have glanced at my cat devour his dry, meaty food.

I have never saddled a hippogriff and flown across the sapphire sky above a flower forest but I have ridden a stubby ginger horse, which was covered in brambles, across a field.

I have never watched a bird of paradise swish and flick its long vibrant feathers, practising for a show but I have watched a little jay perch on a branch next to our picnic.

I have never steered a ship across the harsh sea during a violent storm but I have rode on a small fishing boat to a small island on the coast, covered in brown, furry seals lounging on the smooth stones next to the bitter cold waters.
