The Nowhere Emporium by Charlie B

Prologue – The Nowhere Emporium

The Nowhere Emporium had been there for quite a while, when the police had first arrived to check it out they had told people not to enter and put police tape around it. Some people were disappointed, others were relieved, but Jackson was annoyed.

Chapter 1 – The Nowhere Emporium

He had decided to sneak out of his house at 2am, he ran across his street, then the other street and another, until he was standing in front of the police tape. He glared at it angrily and vaulted over. Now he was at the silky golden gates of the building, he had realised a while ago that he could slip right through them, so he did. Everything was bright and colourful, it was almost too much too handle. The floor was rather slippery and looked like metallic water, he could see some purple fish swimming under him, it was all rather confusing. He finally decided that he would explore a little more and then return tomorrow, so trotted along. Something caught his eyes though, it was a large leather bound book, it had shining gemstones encrusted into its spine. He picked it up and heard a rather frightening voice, he turned around and saw an old man he had lots of squirrels crawling across him, “I see you have found the book of secrets, do not touch it.” He mumbled.
