Prologue

There are many places people don’t dare to go. This magical place is very much like that. Nobody ever went in and nobody ever came out. Many people believe that people die there. However, there is one person that doesn’t believe it.

Chapter 1

Matilda loved mysteries and adventures. Her mother had always warned her that one day she would come across something she didn’t like and to be carful, but Matilda knew that she would be fine and carried on having her mysteries without any fear.  Matilda had left the house to go have a wonder round the town. She came across a abiding building covered in blemished cracks and cobwebs.

Without any fear, she nudged the door open slightly. She could see a beam of light flickering inside. Matilda hesitantly looked left to right to make sure nobody was looking at her  because she knew she was breaking into something that wasn’t hers.

As she entered the emporium, she saw a book shelf stacked with book which where covered in a thick blanket of dust , an ancient scroll and a deadly looking cat. There were deer heads scattered all over the was leaving a tight space between them all. She soon found the light that she had saw through the door a couple of minutes ago. It was a candle that had been recently lit. Matilda glanced over at a cardinal velvet curtain. It moved. She was so scared the pupils in her eyes grew and grew and grew. She was so certain that nobody was in there.

Matilda tip toed over to a old book. Which the title read: the book of wonders. Wow I wonder if my wonders are in here she thought. She picked it up and nearly dropped it. It was as heavy as a pile of elephants! All of the dust brushed of as Matilda blew on it. The curtain moved again. All of a sudden, a man with a thick beard came from behind the curtain. He looked pleased with himself, but Matilda didn’t know why. She ran out of the door as fast as she could taking deep breaths along the way. She came to a sudden stop. Matilda felt that she was safe.
