The Cave of Wonders

Kodi stared up at the concrete cages cramped with wonderful wonders. An indistinct lantern clung of the point of an antique table.  Beside it, an ivory hook for countless calendars was fixed to the wall. Industrious pillars guarded many treasures.  Kodi could smell a dog’s hollow ear engulfed with hoary smoke.  On the counter, a striking spear stood ready to pierce the hearts of many with its frustration. A stuffed lion sought admiration and love, while the hands of clicking clocks wave desperately for help. To one side a copper chandelier oscillates curiously for attention. But what intrigued Kodi the most was a torn, antiquated book hiding behind the crimson, velvet curtain.
