The secret emporium

There are some places where no one ever goes the secret emporium was like that.

Even though there was baskets of puppies with adorable eyes begging to be cuddle,

Even though there was a mirror that reflects the future,

Even though there were crystals that glistered in the sun,

Even though the brightly shiny signs promising bargains,

But no one ever entered, the doorway was too heavy or too dark. It was as if they wanted you to enter at any cost and no one ever did, no one until stormi.

Chapter 1-Through the door!

Stormi had always been a nosey girl, but her mum had often warned her that it would get her into difficulty. One bitterly cold winter’s night she was walk down elm road when noticed something unusual. Actually for once the emporium door was open and without a doubt she stepped inside. Everywhere she looked, it was packed with wonders and things that she wanted to touch. She saw leather books with spidery writing and colored pictures of other words. A miniature golden canvas with bright colored paint pots in every shade you could imagine. Several broad brimmed hats made of feathers and felts. On one of the counters, a display of old antique wooden dolls, sat like a tea party waiting for someone to join them.

There was a bowl of every colored sweet with every taste you could imagine. Colored bamboo sticks that was stuck on the wall making it seem like a dream.

To one side, there was a tall antique doll house that brought a spooky vibe.

Amazing fish swam in a glass tank, their scales a polished rainbow.

But what interested stormi most of all was an old leather-bound book. As she turned the pages, the writing seemed like it came alive the more you read.

“I see you’ve found my book of marvels” approached a voice from the darkest corner of the emporium. Stormi gasped, closed the book and looked up at the owner. A well old man whose hair sprouted in curls, on his shoulder was a black owl it shook its head at her disappointedly.
