Chapter 2 || The door

“Wh-aats your name, who are you?” Avani said shyly.

“My name is Mr Rain, this book is worth A LOT , are you sure you have enough little girl?” He said slyly.

“Er, umm,” Avani replied curiously, she had not thought about prices, not even coming to this place.

“Yes or no?” He exclaimed. “I guess that’s a no,” He said, jumping to conclusion.

Avani knew she needed money, A LOT. Her mind was surrounded by worries and questions, she couldn’t steal, never. As she looked at her watch it read: 08:20, she had 20 minutes to get her hands on that book.

“He’s not in sight, he isn’t looking at me, maybe I have a chance of having the tiniest peek of that book!” she whispered to herself. She was at risk though, he could turn and look at her any minute now, but she had not  got time for decisions. The cover of the book was a beige emerald colour with writing down the sides saying THE MAGIC DOOR. He was wrong so it’s not about ‘warnings’, she knew he was lying. As she opened the book she heard footsteps. Avani closed the book quickly as shakes vibrated on her arm.

“What do you think you’re doing,” he said, hiding the fury, as he opened a sparkling, blue door and plunged her  in..
