The Lonely Emporium by Johnny
The lonely emporium chapter 2
“Welcome to my shop,” hissed the owner, his jet black eyes on Maddie.
“Can I have a look around?” muttered Maddie interestingly, staring at the overloaded piles of gold.
“Of course you can, but do not touch that book!” exclaimed the owner but not looking back. He vanished. Maddie was so badly tempted to open the book, like a hand pulling her closer. Soon enough, her hands were on the book of mischief. The glowing scarlet carpet circled her body happily. Without worrying, she opened the book a little and checked if anyone was looking. Turning back, she opened it again. Every single page had a picturesque picture with towns cities, fields and more. Maddie was examining every bit with her eyes. She had never seen anything like it. The next second, Maddie had a big quill in her hand that had already been dipped in ink and she was drawing a waterfall and a giant forest and she drew someone she missed the most.
The dark crow got off the desk and flew down a corridor with hundreds of paths. Maddie followed the crow to one of the doors. Behind her, there was a door with shattered glass and on her left there was a cracked door with a shadow peeping out. But in front of her there was a recently painted door and the crow tapped its foot on it. Maddie entered.
She walked through the narrow door, but it wasn’t a room, it was a forest with an exquisite, fine waterfall. As soon as she took her first step in, wonder, she realised something. The wonder was exactly what she had drawn. It was precisely her imagination. Courageously. She walked down the stone steps next to the waterfall.
