The Night Emporium Chapter 3
As Sam ran through this lush field, he noticed the sun falling to uncover darkness as the orange sky was drowned out by the obsidian night ,stars shone to only be a micro lamp. His confused conscious questioned how reality would allow this. Instantly birds glided over Sam head as he drew closer to a home. The house was covered in moss and other things.
Opening the door he saw a hallway, though as he moved a sound flowed into his ears. Whilst he walked across the spruce floor he saw a small set of birch chairs and a table right next to a comforting fire place lit, he noticed stairs.
As he sped up the curved silver stairs he heard a gravely voice, “Thank you for coming.”
“Uh your welcome ?”Sam replied not knowing who or what it was. At the top was a few rooms filled with beds and two with a box of toys like the ones he saw at the Emporium. He herd a sound of glass shattering though the smell of sausages and roast dinner. The next sound was a table falling and he could not stay up here as the sounds drew him closer. The white walls turned black the colourful floor became a grey disappointment.
“Come here little boy.” the voice stuttered. Then Sam saw quartz eyes sitting in a head with pale and damage. Fear was here. He shrieked in fright, petrified by its look. He ran as fast as his legs would allow. He slammed the door wide open, as he past more forest filled with things from a fairy tale and those things would chase him back to the door he had come through yet there was no door. Panic filled his blood, emotions were scrambled in his mind, although he kept on. Still no door. “Where is it?” he said, almost unable to speak. Then the door fifteen meters to him twenty-five.
