Chapter 4: Getting back
Searching for the door, Emily noticed something odd about the tree next to her. It only had one piece of fungi on the tree. Underneath it, there was a note.
It read:
If you want to get out, find these five things,
Pencil
Paper
Ruler
Stencil
Clipboard
Emily jumped up and down. She loved treasure hunts. She used to do them with her little brother. Her thoughts floated away. Where would she find a pencil? The Greenhouse!
When she had got there, the first place she looked was over by the cucumbers. Suddenly, she looked up and saw a red pencil.” 1 down 4 more to go!” shouted Emily. She snuck out and knew exactly where paper would be.
Worried, she crept past the guards, and arrived at the stables. “Paper!” Next, her legs took her to where a ruler, stencil and a clipboard.
” Well done, GO, leave us”
Emily ran towards a blue door leading back home. She Jumped through the door and surprisingly, arrived back at the Mysterious Emporium.
Worried that somebody might notice her, Emily crept down the stairs and into the shopfront. She had nearly reached the door when Fig came out of the shadows.
” You had fun in the room I pushed you in?”
” Well, no. A monster tried to chase me.” Emily mumbled, whilst secretly opening the door.
Suddenly, an Owl shot out and shoved Emily out of the door.
Running home, Emily nearly tripped over her own feet. But, what she did not know is that the Owl was secretly following her.
