Emporium story
Charlotte was a secretive and fearless child. Since she was younger, she would always want to adventure and explore caves, forests and what might live in them. Charlotte was walking down the beach when she saw a sketchy wooden door in the corner of her silky, blue eye.
Chapter 1- Do you claim to be fearless?
Charlotte, being the ‘Fearless’ person she is, walked over to the sketchy door with a fearless face and put her hand on the silver door handle and realized there was a mark engraved on it. The mark was a picture of a rose. Thinking nothing of what she had just saw she opened the door and stepped in, her mind went blank with darkness. As Charlotte stepped onto a Rubbie red carpet she heard a scurrying noise, it sounded like there was a rat under the carpet. Charlotte was thinking was she fearless after all?
She was starting to get worried because she no longer could see the door and was all alone in the big hallway. Suddenly she felt someone pull her hand and pull her to a large door and there she saw the same mark that was on the door handle…. The rose! She heard someone whisper in her ear saying, “Open the door please.” Charlotte got scared and quickly opened the door, she felt a cold rush go through her body. Putting all her emotions aside she slowly walked into the room. Placed in the centre of the room was a desk and chair, laying on the desk was a navy, leather book.
Charlotte opened the book to experience the best drawings in the world. On one of the pages was a lovely rainforest with lush green leaves and old oak trees. She stared at the books wonderous pages for a while then suddenly, a cold shadow reached over charlotte, she jumped in fear. Charlotte slowly began to lift her head and then found herself staring into the emerald, green eyes of a tall man, he had a little hamster perched on his shoulder like a side kick.
Chapter 2- I can follow my own footsteps!
The tall man stared back at Charlotte, and he said, “My name is Luka black.” suddenly, Charlotte started running back to the entrance of this mysterious place, but she could find her way back. Mr Luka Black grabbed Charlotte’s arm and pulled her back “Don’t run, I won’t hurt you, you may look anywhere you want but DON’T touch anything especially that book, okay!”
Mist passed Charlotte’s face and then Mr Luka Black was gone, she was tempted to touch the book but to stop her temptation she started walking around the shop and looked at many wonderous things. As the time went passed Charlotte forgot about the book but the shop was like a merry-go-round, she kept on going in circles. When she came back to the room with the book, she was the most tempted she had ever been.
Before she knew it, she had the book open again. In her mind she was thinking I can follow my own footsteps, not someone else’s! She was staring at the book again and all the wonders within, she could not have imagined anything better than these drawings.
Charlotte was rummaging through the drawers in the desk to find a pen so she could draw in the book. Her pen suddenly touched the paper and a moment later she was drawing an iceberg floating in the middle of the ocean with many precious penguins on board.
Suddenly, Charlotte felt something fluffy touch her leg. Charlotte got a fright and then jumped; it was the hamster that was sitting on the shoulder of Mr Luka Black. The Hamster said, “follow me,” so Charlotte let the hamster lead the way although she did not know where he was taking her but surely it was somewhere she wanted to be because she had taken a walk around the whole place, and she was interested by all the places so nothing could go wrong. Meanwhile the hamster was waiting at a metal door, Charlotte knocked on the door and it opened slightly with a creek.
Charlotte stepped onto an iceberg, she could see thousands of penguins and beautiful, glistening Icicles, she could not believe that what she was drew in the book became really life. Charlotte stood in shock thinking of what she could explore in this wonderous world!
Chapter 3- Protective penguins
Charlotte started jumping on every iceberg in sight, it was like playing hopscotch. Suddenly she encountered a large cave carved out of ice; this cave had everything you would need inside it: A king sized bed carved out of ice; a living room with cosy carpets and gigantic couches; a kitchen with a dining table as long as a giraffe’s neck; and a massive garden with a garage that was jet-black. Charlotte heard sharp noises, she looked outside but it was just the wonderous waves pushing icebergs into each other and that caused a *********************.
Charlotte then realised that there were footprints on the shimmery floor, but not just any footprints they were penguin footprints. Charlotte ran outside in terror, but something stopped her from moving, it felt like something was pulling her back.
She looked down to see a rope tied around her hips, it was tugging her back as she tried to run and force her way out of here. But Charlotte was not strong enough she eventually gave up she closed her eyes and aa soon as she opened her eyes, she felt her back touch something cold.
Something furry then touched her hand and pulled her into the cave once again. Charlotte found herself laying on the floor in a spacious room, overlooking her was a bunch on protective penguins that did not look incredibly happy. Charlotte tried to explain her presents in their world. The penguins believed her but to make sure she was not going to hurt them they challenged Charlotte to a fight.
Charlotte got suited up in shiny, silver armour and then in the spacious room she stood in silence. Suddenly, in the crowd Charlotte realised: a pair of emerald, green eyes; an angry frown; and a hair that stuck up higher than **************. Charlotte then heard everyone cheering whilst looking at this random penguin, he started walking towards her. As Charlotte realised that he was walking towards her she ran out of the cave, played hopscotch on the icebergs, then she tried to find the door she entered through so she could escape but she was not able to find it. She checked everywhere more than twice but there was no door in sight.
Suddenly, Charlotte turned around to find a baby penguin standing right behind her. Then the baby penguin shouted ‘’SQUACK!’’ Charlotte jumped in fear and before she knew it, she was in the wonderous water. Meanwhile on land the baby penguin whispered, “where did that girl go” and Charlotte was thinking the exact same thing.
Chapter 4- Magical mazes
Unwillingly, Charlotte swam down into the deep, dark ocean. Suddenly she found an underwater castle, it was like an ornament for a fish tank. Charlotte swam right through the door of the castle, when she landed on the floor of the castle she could walk properly walk again. Cautiously, Charlotte sneakily turned many weird and wonderous corners when Charlotte came across an old wooden door.
Charlotte had one glimpse of room and thought “no way.” It was a MAZE! Charlotte slowly started to walk into the room, she shouted “Hello is anyone there.” Silence fell. Charlotte touched the lush, green bushes in the maze. Boldly, she made her way across a river with crocodiles in the maze along with many other obstacles.
Suddenly, Charlotte found an old, wooden door. Willingly, she opened it and there stood a tall man with green, emerald eyes and a little hamster perched on his shoulder. “Long time no see, Charlotte,” said Mr Luka Black, “I’m so glad you’re here” Charlotte said hugging Mr Luka Black very tight. They both walked down the hallway. Boldly, Mr Luka Black sat down on his chair and explained to Charlotte that he knew she was going to touch his book. Mr Luka Black brough out his book and ripped out the page that Charlotte had drawn in then threw it in the bin. Charlotte whispered, “that was a wild ride but thanks to you I am safe for now”. Mr Luka Black replied, “well just remember I will not always be here to protect you”. He hugged Charlotte and then He said, “Charlotte please close your eyes”. So, Charlotte closed her eyes and in a snap of a finger she was back in her bed with only the memory of him and his hamster.
Charlotte didn’t have any memory of her ‘wild ride’. She galloped down the stairs and ran outside, quickly running to the beach she tried to find the door again, but it was nowhere to be found all that was left was an engraved picture of a rose on the spot where the door was…
Charlotte is now wondering if she will ever see Mr Luke Black again…
