the book of trees

               The secret emporium

There are some places where no one goes just like this small cottage in the middle of the emporium forest, even though the lights where on and the flowers had blossomed at the front door the cottage looked like it had been looked after very well. You could still see the grey smoke blowing out of the scarlet red brick chimney. Through the window you could see a sparkly Christmas tree shining like a gemstone and reflecting off the spectacular sun set.

Chapter 1

One day Megan was out for a midday jog in the emporium forest then a small cottage caught her eye it was surrounded by tall trees and a long path leading to a fairy tale door, but her mum had always said “never open the cottage door in the emporium door! “Megan heard voices in her head repeating what her mother said but without thinking she stepped inside.

Every direction she looked there was wonder or an incredible statue of an animal, Megan wondered if there was anyone living in this small cottage she started to walk, looking at the floor and checking her she before she moved. Then out popped a head of an elderly person.

Megan jumped of fear the brown carpet squeaked Megan asked, “who are you I am looking for my old friend ,my pet black cat?” the elderly woman replied my name is Mrs Chalanda she turned around and walked away , she turned back and said good luck, at the other end of the narrow room lays a dusty book the front cover had a picture of a tree on it, out of no ware Mrs Chalanda appeared and said, “do not touch the book!” so Megan walked away leaving the book behind. Megan heard noises so she quietly walked into the living room on the tv was how to grow a pine tree in your own garden “it was not interesting at all, “said Megan. Then Megan had a lightbulb moment and thought of the dusty book.so she walked slowly without saying a word or a sudden movement.

Chapter 2 –a warning disobeyed

Mrs Chalanda stared at Megan until she started biting her nail and shaking in fear, this is my new house “do you like it “said Mrs Chalanda, Megan answered “Emm yes “while nodding her head. Then Mrs Chalanda walks out the door at then turns back and says do not open the dusty book on the table, and with a swish of her oversized cloak she was back into the kitchen and was making cabbage soup on the red and white stove Megan said “ewe I HATE cabbage soup “two minutes later, BONG Mrs Chalanda says “soups ready” Megan does not listen, she opens the book with a smile on her face she flew to a portal and walked through with no hesitation she was in a world of only trees, buildings where all trees phones where all small trees everything and everywhere you looked where trees all around was green there was no colours accept green in sight !

Chapter 3-the curious black cat

But in the distance over a ginormous green hill with a beautiful stone path there leading to a green portal: covered in daisy’s, dandelions, bluebells, sunflowers, and more beautiful flowers. With the tip of my eye, she could see a fairy of some sort with wings the size of a dog and a red and white dress and a magnificent golden crown with a beautiful beam of sunlight reflecting on it. Megan was questioning herself to see the fairy,

Megan thought again, Bitting her nail nervously; she was tiered from jogging all afternoon in the woods. After two minutes she had the courage to walk up the large hill, she was still walking then she saw a black cat “there you are black cat I missed you “said Megan, it was in the middle of the path it looked sad and lonely Megan’s mum had always said “if an animal in in need of help always help it”. But Megan thought it looked dangerous, but it was in need she Megan scooped it up into her arms with no hesitation and started to walk forward to inspect the portal, but she got pulled in Megan screamed “ahhhh” the black cat heled on to Megans arms tight and purred.

It led to a small brick castle Megan entered she asked” hello is anyone here? “She was met by silence. There was a scarlet red rug, then she saw it: an emerald, green ring shimmering in the distance, it was enclosed in a transparent glass case it lied on a silver Dimond table red rug was leading to this master peace of a Room: Megan was peaking around every corner trying to make her way closer. BANG a gold picture frame falls of the wall and red security lights ring!…

Chapter 4-the return

Megan ran along the scarlet red rug to the portal that had turned red. Megan jumped out she WHOOSED through the black and white tornado in the portal, Megan had teleported to a world of mushrooms she was sat on the biggest mushroom in the emporium there was a view of Rosie red grass and white and a shade elegant red on all the mushrooms all different shapes and sizes.

Megan was sitting with the black cat on her lap petting him patently. Megan sat the cat down carefully and went to explore she was scared but: in the distance, she could see a sigh saying clap clap clap to escape the trap, Megan got scared but she clapped three times and she was back in the small cottage with no cat Megan said “he is properly living a better life in the place that he belongs. Mrs Chalanda saw Megan standing outside, Mrs Chalanda asked “where have you been “and with a swish of Mrs Chalanda’s cloak the cottage was gone and Megan ran home again.
