Finally, they were ready to leave.

That evening, a message from the postman said that they needed to leave Taniki Town because the group was planning to attack in a couple of days. The grout can easily kill you in a second and the wall is not strong enough to withstand the strength of the beast.

So it was up to Sam, Samsam, and Sammy to leave home and go to the asylum. The asylum was built for badgers that needed help or were forced to leave their beloved home. They found the map under their dad’s mattress folded into a little envelope. The map had the fastest route to the asylum. The asylum had many resources and had enough space to shelter the entire population of badgers. They would have to go over Mt Hope then walk 17 miles to the forest line then they would then need to sneak past Tilted Towers to the asylum.

Clutching their only hope, they started their long journey to a safe place. Sam, who was the leader, was very scared because he and his siblings might get caught by the grout. They started the long climb up Mt Hope. Sam tugged his backpack closer to his back because it was too big and heavy to stay firm on his back as he trudged through the icy snow. They were very exhausted when they got to the top. SamSam got his backpack and slid down the mountain unaware there was a puddle right in front of him. Sam and Sammy raced after him on their backpacks and managed to stop him before he splashed in the puddle. When they started to walk to the forest line Sam was thinking of what the grout looked like. He thought that it was mighty and big and can crush anything imaginable. Then a shiver went down his cold spine.

Walking behind Sam, Samsam was eating his fish on a stick that he bought yesterday. Sammy decided they should make a shelter next to a tree so they can get rainwater from the leaves. So Sam gathered a lot of wood and Samsam helped Sammy put the sticks down and turn it into a lean-in hut. Once the shelter was built they got some frozen food out of their bags of peas and vegetables. Once the food was cooked they finished the food hastily. The food burnt like red-hot lava.

Sammy got some snow and covered the holes that were present in the shelter. They decided to tell spooky stories with the candle.

Since they would not eat for a while they decided to eat a little more food to make sure they had enough food to last them the walk. When they finished eating their crackers they got the blanket, blew out the candle, and fell asleep.

Sluggish, they dreamt of what it would be like at the asylum. Sam thought it would be the best thing ever with food and drink, a proper bathroom, a good bed, and the best of all board games. Sammy thought it would be ok but not as good as home. Samsam wondered if they would ever reach the asylum because they are so far away from where they are right now. Will they ever reach the asylum?
