Chapter 3: The Wall
Chapter 3: The Wall
This shadow was scary and he stood with an evil smile on his face. He took off his black hoodie to reveal his uniform. He was one of the 3 Phantom troupe leaders. His name was… Bloodeye. Streets were crowded with foxs whose faces were full of hatred and anger. Soon enough, you could see hundreds of foxes in the town streets.
When the fighting stopped, there was blood showered everywhere with bodies of innocent foxes lying down beside it. Maya’s heart was beating so loud that she could hear it. Trembled with horror, she crept back to the palace in the rain with fear filling up her body like a glass of water. She knew that he had come to the foxes.
When dawn reawakened, Maya, Marlin and little Mia had left the palace and were a few minutes away from it. They were on their way to their next destination, over The Wall. Many years ago, the Phantom troupe built that wall so that the foxes could not cross over and try to escape. That wall still stood proud. The journey would take a few hours without stopping. The Wall stood there like a giant. It was as if it was going to stomp on them. Marlin regretted every life choice since he saw the wall for a millisecond. You could enter inside through a “secret” passage that the troupe would stay for a while before coming to get us.
Outside, it was snowing with sadness. Inside, it was full of worry. Nothing could or would have made them happy with a miserable life like this unless they can get to the safe place just in time. They lit a fire to warm themselves. Maya’s grandad passed away but he did give her something before his passing. He said that it would help her in the future. “A katana?” she wondered. It had the word “DESTROY” carved into it. It changed to a black colour. Blacker than the ominous, dark sky outside. She knew it wasn’t a good sign.
It was quite irritatingly uncomfortable. They heard a noise. Running noises. It was other foxes trying to get to them. They were attacking them. Maya hid the katana so that they would have a weapon they could fight with.
It was too late for that though. Maya’s eyes widened . The scary man, Bloodeye, came in. His stomps sounded like a proud lion rampaging through a city setting itself free for freedom. “Now, would you like to answer that question I asked you earlier?” He whispered arrogantly! “No? Then suit yourself!” he said while laughing wildly like a maniac. The other foxes backed up slowly and slowly. Bit by bit in other words. Soon after, Bloodeye was finally done laughing and the other foxes had already left with watering eyes. They scoured through and up a mountain nearby. It was as if this was their big plan! Their plan where they would finally win. Their plan where they could take over their land and become unstoppable. Maya stared with despair into Bloodeye’s eyes. Mia had her face buried in her pink fluffy blanket and Marlin was comforting her while looking at the ground avoiding eye contact with him. “Was this the end?” she thought with sadness.
