It was time to leave after the innkeeper gave them some dried dandelions and a loaf of fresh bread.As they set their leather boots into the freshly fallen snow their hearts filled with dread for the journey ahead of them. Slowly they trudged along the mountain and down into the valley below as the inn disappeared into the fog they felt loneliness creep over them and slow them down as they were climbing another mountain slope the sun slowly set and the half moon rose above them and sent slants of moonlight glittering on the bleak snow around them. As they sat down half way up the slope a dragon flew down and landed beside them nudging them to get on his back and fly with him to the next mountain so they can get there quicker as they landed they noticed the island of Rivendell with its glittering lights covering the island and its inhabitants. “Thank you” said Paz to the dragon “it’s all right” the dragon replied back“off you go by” 

As they walked down the slope the dragon flew off into the distance pod spotted a artfully concealed lever and pulled it as a creaking noise broke the silence a bridge appears spanning the lake to the island “come on Paz” podkin said they raced across the bridge and onto the Sandy beach which spans the whole island behind them the bridge sunk back into the lake blocking anyone from coming over.
