Winterrose -By Ella Owls Y6

Winterose

The winter rose’s petals were as soft as a ice cream frozen for years.

The petals were as white as a polar bear’s thick white fur.

It’s stem as thick as a sturdy, steaming mug of hot chocolate.

It’s leaves like towering whipped cream, standing on edge.

Moonflower

The moon flower’s petals were as bright as the North Star shining on a winters night after a long cold day at a ice rink.

Its leaves like a lumpy, old slice of cheese, left on a counter side to rot, it’s stink suffocating any person who steps in.

Honey ice

The honeyice’s petals were like golden tear drops frozen in time, dropping from the face of a small child who’s favourite teddy bear got lost, under the cover of darkness.

The honeyice’s stem was a sturdy as an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean, the freezing ocean laying, asleep under it, as still as a picture.

It’s leaves were a coconut white, motionless from the cold, dead inside.

Milkdaisy

The milkdaisy’s stem was like raw milk from a cow, freshly milked.

It’s leaves were as creamy as a soft cheese melted from the sun on a warm summers day.

The milkdaisy’s petals were as white as cartons of milk, straight from a local farm.

Beeflower

The beeflower’s pollen buzzed away like a wasp, humming in your ear, making you delusional.

It’s leaves were as yellow as golden syrup, glistening in the warm sun.

It’s stemm as wiggly as jelly, as if it was going to topple over any second from all the weight.
