Chapter 2
Chapter 1
After Breakfast, Lily had noticed the headline on Mrs Orrell’s newspaper the school office. It said that her dad, John Hartman, had gone missing when his airship mysteriously crashed. Lilly Knew she had to escape from St Patrick’s All-Girls School.
At the dead of night, when everyone was asleep, she sneaked out of her dormitory and along the corridor. Lilly crept down the stairs past the school office and out the giant front door. When she was out, she sprinted across the playground as fast as a cheetah casing its prey. Once she was out of sight of the school, she went down Chipping Lane and stopped to catch her breath. Lilly remembered her dad saying when he dropped her off,” Peacocks are the most beautiful birds…and luckiest.” She often thought this was a strange thing to say, but was he trying to tell her something.
At that moment, she heard footsteps and quickly hid in the bushes. It was a familiar mechanical sound, so she took a peek. To her delight, it was Lara, her father’s trusty mechanimal. However, she wasn’t moving and her fur was singed. She had used up her last bit of energy trying to find Lily. Lily quickly got her key and gave her a good wind.
“I have been looking for you everywhere. You’re in serious danger and we need to move fast.” Just as it was going, Robert was amazed to see Lily and Lara walking down Millers Lane. He ran to them and gave them a big hug. Lily said, “I cannot believe, we’ve bumped into you. I need to get home urgently; I think my lucky peacock feather has something to do with my father’s disappearance. Will you help?
“of course I will,” replied Robert excitedly.

Chapter 2
Under the lamp, was a little statue of a fox. Her desk was full of mysterious atlases. Beside her chair, were loads of books and boxes. The bed was full of dust and her covers were frayed to bits. Underneath the bed was her old shoes, full of fluff and lined up neatly. The wallpaper was peeled off in a few places.
Suddenly Robert noticed the peacock feather in a crystal glass vase and quickly picked it up. As he held it, he noticed some words hidden in the feather. He held it to the light and it read, “look behind the mirror.” Excited, Lara jumped up and smashed the old antique mirror hanging on the wall. Behind the broken glass, there was a folded piece of paper. Lily slowly opened it to see what it was.” It’s a formula that turns water into fuel for sky-ships that my father has discovered.” It would put an end to pollution across the planet!”
“That’s why everyone is after him. It must be worth a fortune,” gasped Robert.
“You’re right and you just led me to what I’ve been looking for,” said Martha Mill, the old housemaid of Dropboid Manor. She had been sacked by John when she caught stealing.
1 hour later, Suddenly, Professor Phil grabbed them into a black van, it had smashed windows and it had no front doors it only had the back doors. After 8 minutes in the van professor Phil dragged them out of the van and locked them in a shed and the windows where cracked and too small to escape. The door was definitely locked.” The dog.” Whispered Lily fervently.
“Well we aren’t getting out of here, “Mumbled Robert, on an old rocking chair.
“O yes we will,” shouted Lily.
