Charlie Lloyed and the mysterious clock.
CHAPTER 3
All day, Ben sat moodily staring at the rock floor. However, Charlie used his power round the coal searching for a way out.
He spent some time at the window, checking if he could wriggle through but it was to small. There’s no glass in the window so he was shouting for help. 5 minutes later, Charlie stopped because it was to far from eneything. Then Charlie budged through the bricks but they wouldn’t budge.
Every so often, Charlie snapped at Ben “Instead of watching me why won’t you come and help,”said Charlie
“There’s no way to escape.” Replied Ben. So Charlie walked slowly trapping on the walls until the door. Was there a way of undoing the lock? Charlie spent a long time using the hair clip to undo the door.
Exasperated,he span round and once again he launched his frustration onto Ben,”I cannot do this without you,”said Charlie, shrugged his shoulders.
‘It’s no good. We are trapped good and proper,’ muttered Ben sighing as he spoke.
‘But you’ve just not tried!’ Rotorted Charlie, standing with his hand on his hips and his eyes ablaze with irritation.
The children sat in silence, Charlie folded his hands, trapped his foot impatient and stewed with anger. It was the next day, Inside, the shadow stretched across the coal shed as soon it was pitch black. Outside, stars freckled the night and the crescent moon as the light crossed the gardens of Primrose Lane.
Just as Charlie drifted to sleep and then heard a noise. A whisper in the grass. Something moving. Within a second they both peered out of the ledge. A low squawk two brown eyes shone. Charlie reached out and Callum nuzzled his hand. “I need a wind-up.” He thrummed, laying down Callum tried to fly up. Callum flew up to the ledge so Charlie could give Callum a wind-up.
As soon as Callum was reenergised his tone changed. He drop a key into Charlie’s palm. “Time to escape.” He whirred stretching his back leg preparing to run.
Slowly, Charlie put the rusted key into the lock nothing happened for minute. Suddenly, a creak happened. Eventually, the door opened. The children peered outside. The conservatory door but the lights remained off and with a miler second they were running across the trimmed lawn. Towards a stone, brick wall. Callum leaded the way.
10 minutes later, Charlie spotted a old mysterious barn. Charlie told Callum what they had found out while Callum was cleaning his paws. He had managed to sneak as carefully as possible to sneak past Docter James. In a moment, Ben made a fire and they all sat in warmth. Where was Charlie’s dads clock? Where was Will Farrell?
