Chapter 4

Alissa dreamed, A soft voice called her name and she was running. Running down a long dark corridor towards the voice. But as soon as she got closer the voice drifted further away. It was her mother’s voice. She was sure of it. Then a shape appeared. She tried to see it but it was fuzzy since she had not seen her mother in years. It felt like the memory was lost forever.

She woke with a start. The sunlight filtered through the cracks of the barn as Calso stared at her on the ground. She crept over to the door as the sun hid behind the trees. “Quick!” Shouted Calso. “We need to find the MacGuffin before Professor Jadestone does something with it! I saw her 10 minutes ago walking to the airship! Up you get Codie! We got work to do!” “Oi!” Shouted Codie. “I was having a good dream!”

A moment later, They climbed back over the wall where the airship had landed. They ran to the airship but stopped out of breath .”I can’t go on.” Sighed Codie. “Quick we need to go before she does something with the MacGuffin!” Shouted Alissa. Alissa ran off and Codie followed her. When they got to the airship they needed the key to turn on the engine. “Calso!” Yelled Alissa. “Fly round the airship for us and try to find the key!” Calso nodded and flew off.

Calso flew round the airship for clues and found the boiler room but there was nothing. Then she found Jackson Kates design for the airship with the MacGuffin at the bedroom with the key! Calso flew to the control centre and turned the key.

“Hey!” Shouted Professor Jadestone with a furious tone. “Come back here with my airship!” She ran to the airship a good speed for her age but never managed to catch up.

As they left the ground they couldn’t hear the shouts of the Professor no more. The airship was incredibly high. So high they couldn’t see her anymore.

Alissa heard a muffled shout from below that wasn’t the professors. Alissa let down the rope and helped her dad up. and the two saw each other they hugged then Jackson went to lead the airship lower as they were too high in the sky. “Hah good luck catching us!” Shouted Calso. Jackson turned the airship away from the skyscraper.

As Alissa and Codie stared out the window as the airship flew high over the city. As the two talked Calso flew to the bedroom room and had a rest.
