Chapter Four – Rewind

The three rabbits awoke parched and hungry waiting for sound or movement. The cold, rusty bars looked bent and curvy. None of them knew where they were or how they’d got there. “Hey!” yelled a voice from the cage beside them. “Who may you be?” the voice questioned. There was a long silence and for a moment they couldn’t remember but then a loud Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! Filled the room. A dark figure entered the cave of prison cells. The figure was wrapped in rust and possibly ten thousand different keys hung from an ancient piece of cloth attached to a leather belt.

The figure began unlocking each and every individual cell until all inmates had gone to the cafeteria. The trio had no clue what was going on yet still they tagged along.

“Where are we?” asked Chris curiously,

“I don’t know!” explained Mia. The three entered the cafeteria in horror. It was filthy. Cobwebs filled the ceiling along with a sea of spiders. The smell was worse than vile. They took a seat and were almost immediately served. The food looked worse than the whole prison combined and now they had to eat it. One spoonful at a time a rotten turnip, carrot and potato mix filled their little mouths. They could not stay much longer. After a while, the darkness took over the sky and the plan was about to take place. “ Ok, now!” said Mia

Chris and Mia shoved Pip through the gaps in the bars. Pip, remembering the plan, began asking every inmate in the cell block.

“Come with me! Come with me!” Pip exclaimed.

After a few minutes, the whole cell block  began ripping through the bars of their cages. The ruckus of the tunnels being dug caused three of the Gorm’s guards to come rushing into the room, but it was too late the tunnel had been dug and all the prisoners ran wild!

Years later the three had found the burrow and over time more rabbits had nestled there too. The story of the three rabbits went down in history along with the Gorm. Or did it…
