Walking in Troon
On Monday, I discovered a seagull’s feather,
Its touch as light as a feather,
It’s colour, cold as ice.
On Tuesday, I trotted towards Troon Beach’s Kiosk,
The Succulent flavour of Curry Chips melting on my tongue
Reminded me so much of my home in Troon.
On Wednesday, I Drunk the most incredible,
Orange, shimmering liquid,
Some may call it God’s Blessing, but we call it…
IRN- BRU.
On Thursday, I scampered across The Astro’s on Dundonald Rd,
My hockey stick in hand as well as a stampede of
People, fighting for the puck to score.
On Friday, I enjoyed the traditional Scottish breakie,
A wee portion of square sausages, bacon rolls everywhere,
Next is a rounded body of fried eggs, tattie scones as well
Last but not least, the beautiful, the well-loved,
Red sauce.
On Saturday, I awoke to the rough sounds of the turquoise
Liquid scrape slightly against the cold rocks that lay gracefully
Infront of the ballast bank, Protecting it from any harm to come.
On Sunday, I Announced to my family that I was going to
Venture on a mission, a mission to the Cookie Jar.
I Trotted and I stomped until I finally met it’s gaze,
It surely was one to Praise, 1 Church Street is where you want to be.
