Chapter 2

We wait, I hear Eliza mumbling to herself she looks worried and scared. I ask her if she is ok and she says with tears in her eyes”this monster is after me” i look at her with a confused face. “What did you do to it?” “I-I-I- tricked the flying sea creature”  she says nervously, “how did you do that?” I said with a puzzled face,” well when I was younger there was an old wives tale about the sea creature, it said if you leave out cheese and butter out. The monster will come out and it did” Eliza said.

Thirty minutes later, we go outside of the boat and it is pitch black. I know we should have stayed inside of my boat but then we see enormous footsteps,we didn’t think nothing of it. We go back into the boat because it was too cold. There is one thing I can say, Eliza is one of the most nervous and brave person I know! She can get  nervous and can be really brave. We could hear the sea waves crashing and the seagulls flying away. The wind blowing everything off the beach and a storm was brewing. Eliza and I could feel a draft coming from the window, so I throw a blanket on us.

Eliza and I could feel the boat moving so we got out of the boat and ran to a little shack on the pier. Eliza could sense someone watching us. She peeked through a hole and saw a skaly back. She turns to me saying “ It’s the – the – the flying sea creature”

I didn’t believe her but then I could hear loud footsteps and a deafening shriek. At that moment,my heart was beating out of my chest and everything went quiet.Until the ground starts shaking like an earthquake or a monster jumping  up and down.

When the creature was distracted, we run out of the shack and hid behind the large rock.Eliza says “ Shhh don’t let him sense you”, I pannick trying to stop breathing so loudly.I say “ lets run to town and hide in a shop” “ ok 1…2…3”  Eliza says. We run hoping it couldn’t see us. We got to the fish and chip shop  but he could see us and was running after us.

We run near a fire and the creature stepped running. It doesn’t like fire. We stay near the fire and it ran back into the sea.
