chapter 1
My name is John strong and I work down town in the local arcade. Most people call me jiving John because I am always dancing to the music and singing. I am the arcades like I don’t know what it is called but I like restoke everything so like the claw machine if there is not many teddys inside it have to put more in. Someone once told me that it is the worst possible job ever but I absolutely love my job. I have my own room at the arcade and I adore that little room with its little fire and couch. I am sometimes a little scared at night because of robbers and people like that so I just stay in my little room for most of the night and then I go home at 11.00pm, but in the day it is a different story I love seeing all the little kids and teens playing games. We like get no one in winter and some days not a single person comes.
A girl starts to bang on the door so hard the arcade nearly starts to crumble to the ground, she silently whispered “let me in please please” I stare at her thinking should I let her in or not. I think it is very called outside so I open the door she comes flying in desperate to be inside she looks at me with scared eyes she says to me “hide me now”.
Before I continue with what happens next, there is one story about our little town that I am going to tell you. It happened so long ago that not one single person can remember the day with detail. Our town has a legend well a monster that comes out of the straggling woods barely ever it has a clown looking face and fire instead of hare and a big smile to intimidate pray. You have no chance of stopping it because if you hit with anything it go’s strait through him and then he will target you it has big claws if you get tapped with you will be needing that grave.
Everyone would close there curtains when he would come around. Some people say that it went searching for food and found a small child and ait him straight away but I don’t know what happened to him because I have never seen him before in my little life.
” Why do you need to hide any way” I say to her. “what’s the matter”
“I’ve seen it close the curtains its back”.
