I want to run but the cave entrance is covered by the mander.The slime started to glow green.But were still trapped!The next instant Terry starts talking to the mander at a slow pace.”You’re safe “Terry says.”Were not here to fight”.

It tilts its head trying to tell us something.”We’re not here to hurt you.We’ve come to help you and your baby.As we both sit down holding our arms out as the mander comes closer.Its working.

“We’re gonna go know.”Says Terry, stepping around the mander.Its eyes started to shake as it goes to its baby.I saw the tide coming in so i headed out.”Were safe know”.

Outside i talk in a muttering voice.We hear the mander talking to its baby.As it settles down.

The mist had settled as the moon gazed down on us.We walk back to the pier.On the outside its silence.On the inside its emotions and thoughts.No one needs to know where it lives.We need to tell the council we need signs”no one go any further.”Or you’ll regret.”As we were speaking we were walking at a fast pace.

By the time we get back the sun will rise.As we walk past the beach the deck chairs are being placed by Millie.The arcade machines are being turned on.The Grand Nautilus Hotel is being unlocked.As the traffic had begun.Cars zoom past.
