I’ve Never…

I’ve never soared across the sky on a huge hippogriff,

but I have flown graciously over the ocean to my favourite holiday destination.

I’ve never dived out of a plane,

but I have jumped into the wonderful warmth of a swimming pool.

I’ve never raced Usain Bolt,

but I have sprinted a marathon.

I’ve never touched the smooth skin of a whales back,

but I have tapped a little dog’s nose with my finger.

I’ve never dodged a bewildered bullet shooting like a hunting tiger,

but I have watched the beautiful rose bushes gently blowing in the warmth of summer.

I’ve never swam in magnificent, melted chocolate,

but I have seen the deluxe chocolate flowing down from the chocolate fountain.

I’ve never danced at the tip of the Eiffel tower,

but I have leapt on an ice rink.

I’ve never captured a shark,

but I have caught a mouse.

I’ve never tasted a slimy snail in France,

but I have tried an octopus from Portugal.

I’ve never been able to see the future,

but I have learnt from the past.
