My loneliness is made of…
I found loneliness-
trapped in the deep layers of the heart,
crumpled like a page on the side of a road,
locked in a cage at the back of a police car,
crouched beside a lost rock in the desert,
where the wolf howls for its pack.
This loneliness can-
run off to the dark and empty sea,
shatter heart of strong metal,
smash the Statue of Liberty,
dance across an empty room,
and squash the Himalayas to bits of loneliness.
If I lost this loneliness-
many dark layers of the heart,
would fill with blood and friendship.
