Dear Lucy

Dear Lucy,

Charlotte is the new neighbour and she is looking after me but now I have been sent to London railway station I am not sure where I am going though.

After what seemed like years, we finally got to our destination which was Amsterdam. We’re now sleeping on dry floorboards which is a lot better than what I used to sleep on: damp half broken beds. I have made plenty of new friends. There is this really kind lady called Mrs O’ Flower and she is sometimes a bit strict. I go to the Dane school.

I hope you are alright. We are loving it here. They have heaters but sometimes It gets too hot. Pete is in a different year to me but we still see each other at break time. It is so fun I wish you could see it. You would love it. The journey here showed us many good views. Sometimes on Saturday and Sunday I would see Vannessa (the Pig) and the chickens and collect the eggs and then we would go out for a 5 mile hike and we would see deers, badgers, foxes, wolves and last but not least owls. That is my favourite part.

At school we do PE every day in the afternoon and that really makes my back hurt. For lunch we have lovely fresh sprouts and Potatoes freshly picked from farmer Greg’s farm. Followed by sprinkled cheddar cheese with warm boiled baked beans. I hope you’re not in too much trouble out there. These candles are almost out. I’ll write you another letter soon.
