Chapter 1 – The Bramble bushes

Finally, the three rabbits (Tomkin, Sayba and Freya) started hearing branches breaking; they felt like someone was watching them. They walked and walked until they had arrived at the Bramble bushes thinking they were safe. Suddenly they heard a loud thump over and over again each time they got more concerned. Once they realised the loud thump was footsteps! In the corner of Freya’s eyes she saw a rat looking thing in armour and she stood still. Tomkin was asking her if she was ok, when he said that he saw it too. The rat looking thing was the dangerous Gorm!

After looking for a few seconds Sayba told Tomkin and Freya to run. Sayba pulled them both and they started running. They  ran so fast it took them a while to stop and stand still. Immediately they knew where they were. They were in a maze of Brambles. Sayba was normally the more mature sibling but she was freaking out. Tomkin was trying to calm her down but it wasn’t working. Sayba was full on having a panic-attack. Finally Freya found a way to calm her down.

In the maze, there were lots of things that didn’t look right. Tomkin said “why don’t we all split up”,

Freya replied “ no we have to stick together it’s too dangerous to be by ourselves especially because we saw the Gorm, Sayba nodded. Tomkin saw some leaves  and hay on the ground. He decided to make a camp because it was getting dark and everyone was getting tired. Freya fell asleep first because she was the youngest then Sayba and now Tomkin. Freya kept waking up because she heard bushes rustling but she thought it was just the wind. Sayba , who had woken up due to nocturnal animals, saw a dark, mysterious shadow in the distance (she didn’t think anything of it.)

While the rabbits were sleeping the Gorm kidnapped them from their beds. The Gorm carried  Tomkin, Sayba and Freya on his shoulders. While being carried Tomkin woke up then the others woke up as well. Freya , the youngest, started to freak out and she said “ I don’t want to die”.saybe called her overdramatic but you can’t blame her can you.

After a while the Gorm left the mysterious place they were in. sayba said “he’s gone we can think of a way out”,

Tomkin said “ but how are we gonna get out? It looks like it’s in a mine or something like that”. It looked so dark they couldn’t see a thing.

 Freya was so tired she fell asleep on Tomkin but he woke her up. Saybe started looking around for a hole in the wall or a window but she didn’t find anything. Freya may be the youngest but she thought of an idea it was to look to see if there was dirt ground because they’re rabbits they can dig a hole. But they couldn’t because they were trapped in a cage so they couldn’t look at the floor or touch it. Suddenly the Gorm was back!

Chapter 2 – The sad ending

The weird place they were in was the Gorm’s lair. When the Gorm came back he saw them trying to escape. He got so angry he banged his hand on the table several times making the cage shake around. Without notice, one of the screws came loose( but the rabbits didn’t notice.) In the lair, it smelt like rotten cheese that’s been at the bottom of a bin. You couldn’t see anything because it was so dark.

The Gorm was complaining about the annoying, noisy rabbits. The gigantic Gorm was threatening them saying “if you keep talking i’ll cook you alive” , “shut up you stupid rabbits!” he said. Sayba, who was banging the cage to try and open it, said “it’s not budging.” Freya was crying because she was terrified that the Gorm would eat them. Tomkin was telling her to stop being silly.

All of a sudden, Tomkin saw the loose screw they pulled on it with their claws and the cage opened (the Gorm was asleep luckerly) When they escaped Sayba made a loud bang the Gorm woke up. He saw Sayba and grabbed her. Sayba told Tomkin and Freya to run, so they did. Tomkin tried to break in to get Sayba but he failed. Freya got upset because her sister was her best friend . you could see the Gorm through the window. He put Sayba into a cup and didn’t feed her or anything

The Gorm and his yellow teeth kept intimidating Sayba and breathing in her face she felt like she was gonna faint. After a while Sayba fell asleep not for long though because the Gorm woke her up. Freya said sadly “ the big bad monster is going to eat out sister” Tomkin agreed but didn’t want Freya to know what the Gorm was gonna do.

While the other rabbits were trying to get in, the Gorm was guarding Sayba. He did that so the other rabbits couldn’t save her. The Gorm said “I’m hungry at least I have a snack. So he put Sayba into a pot of bubbly water with some vegetables and cooked her into a pie. He said when he ate it “ it was delicious. I wish I had the other rabbits then it would have been a 3 course meal” Tomkin and Freya saw him eating a pie and they knew Freya broke down into tears. They told all the animals and they had a big funeral for Sayba. Tomkin gave a speech “ Sayba my younger sister she was so brave she always put me and Freya before herself she told me and Freya to run and they were her last words. So Sayba didn’t die because of natural death she died from the horrible Gorm cooking her into a pie” Freya cried again.
