Prologue

You’ve probably been to Dreamy-on-Sea.In Summer,you probably put your feet up in the cool and calm sea,or explored the creepy and spine chilling cabin ride,or got taken to the adventures and challenging doom path at sea life centre. It’s that kind of relaxing holiday you’d visit until…darkness falls.

But in Winter,you probably felt the cold, sour wind pouring down with rain.You should try being there when the snow scatters and the ice blocks fall on the roads.You should try being here when the fog blows round and the horns beep madly.But that’s only in the winter.Even the people who live here don’t ever come near the bench…but that does make sense.

Chapter 1

Hi! my name is Beatrice Blossom and I work at awesome Dreamy-on -Sea at the hospital.Most people call me Bee but I don’t mind at all.I am the hospital caretaker.I mop the floor,I clean the doors and windows and I tidy up.Someone once told me that it is a terrible and tiring job but I love it.I have a little room which I can sleep in and it has a warm fan and a heater to keep me cosy and warm on cold days.I’m quite lonely sometimes,but in the day there is loads of staff and children and I try to keep them entertained.There are lots of patients in the summer but in the winter there are very less and sometimes none.

Just when I was about to drift asleep,a girl knocks on my  window.Exhausted and tired I tried to pretend to fall asleep and then she shouts”LET ME IN OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!’’Then of course I have to let her in so I open the window and she drops in like a  post letter and coughs.I look at her and notice she is soggy and her breath sounding heavily but her eyes flashing green and grey.Then she splutters and says”Hide me!”

Before I continue with what happened I need to pause,to tell you an old story about our local town that I should tell you about.It happened so long ago there is no evidence to be found and everybody promised not to even talk about it ever.Nearby legends say and tell of a creature that comes out of sea and wanders down the street at night.Surprisingly,It was a species of Mander of a Frogamander.It smelled of rotten fish and cabbage.It left a row of footprints like a giant sized frog!They say the Frogamander at night wanders the street and howls and sobs for this reason people would lock there doors,close their windows and curtains.

Some say that the creature lost her parents and searches for them everyday.Some say it lost its sense of smell and takes other people’s smell.Some say it looks for her long lost friend. I’ve never heard anything in the dark foggy weather,when the streets are empty,when the roads are asleep.But the town does make strange noises but that could just be the normal town folks upset.

‘’Why do you need me to hide you?’’ I say frighteningly.”What’s wrong, what’s the matter, are you OK?

”I’ve seen it, shut the curtain. It’s coming after me act normal and pretend you haven’t seen me, she says.”

The Squidmander is a type of squid that lives in the sea.It is a Jumbo squid,The amount of the Squidmanders of the jumbo species are few and they are endangered  in there habitat.
They live in caves and dug spaces.

The Squidmander have tentacles all over the there body and have feet that glow yellow in the moon.They also have beautiful eyes that change colour in the dark.In many varieties they come in orange,and yellow in skin tone.They are full with spots and gills.

The Squidamanders amazingly lives in caves and sea huts.They prefer to  live together rather than alone.They have usually got a family pack of  6 but sometimes some Squidmanders like to live alone.

Most Squidmanders eat fish and crustaceans.They are also known to fed on each other in nets.It is known that Squidmanders can eat 30% or more of there body weight in a day.They may increase eating by 10 to 15% in half there life cycle.

Biologists estimate that there are as many as 500 species of Squid. Squidamanders amazingly,have a beak hidden on it mouth unusually,Squidamanders have 3 hearts and have 8 arms and they all have suckers on them.They are more intelligent than octopuses.

The concerns for the Squidmander,it is endangered and under threat with humans and animals.These magical creatures have a special part of them.Not just any part,an astounding part.They can change colour and they scare their prey so people want their skin to scare rats and mice.Our save Squidmander campaign is catching all Squidmanders and trying there best to save them.If this threat continues,unfortunately,these astonishing creatures will sadly no longer be here.If you want to save these stunning creatures you should,David Attenborough said”If we work together we could save millions of them.”If you want to be like David Attenborough type in WWW.save Squidmanders.co.uk.
 

Dear Diary

Yesterday afternoon,the Most miraculous thing happened at  Harbour Island.I was with my cat Kit for a rest on the beach.There was no noise except the small meows of Kit and the waves flowing onto my feet.The weather like a midsummers day and the sun was just setting into the horizon it was the most beautiful sky I had ever seen with a mix of orange,yellow,red and pink it was super pretty.Then Kit comes closer to me like something was  scaring her.

Now,the weather had turned dark and bright but still Kit was getting scared of something. I wondered what it could be that was scaring her.The wind was starting to blow and get heavy kits fur was blowing like a dust mote.Then I smelt a smell of rotten fish and cabbage it was a horrible scent.Then I heard a small snarl at first I thought it was Kit but then it started to get louder and louder I looked at the floor and noticed some slimy footprints on the pink sand like the bigger version of a frogs speckled footprints.

As I stood watching,me and kit wanted to run but we just couldn’t it was like we were frozen with fear.We noticed its skin like a slimy pond frog it eyes glaring impatiently like an owls wide eyes.Its hands moving like it hasn’t had food for a while.The creatures legs shaking repetitively and its teeth dribbling with blood and saliva there claws ready to pounce.Its back full with spiky scales and all sorts of different shapes on its body.

I ran as fast as I could with Kit on my side and I thought not to look back but then I couldn’t resist so I turned around and I saw it but it quickly disappeared in the sea.It saw something like a frog pulling the creature in the sea and instantly they vanished.

As a  of aeroplanes- gas chucking down in throats like divers glancing at the turtles toxic throats.

As a result of greed- hollow eyes and sunken skin like a wolf in a bush.

As a result of Alton Towers theme park- sick stomachs rumbling like a lion’s empty tummy.

As a result of new pencils- holes in your fingers like a magic trick.

As a result of night time- the sky shines like a pond reflecting onto glasses.

As a result of Winter- England children full of itchy bump and fat chunky lumps.

As a result of excitement for Gulliver’s- extremely energetic bodies jumping all about.

As a result of jealousy- pink teddies without heads and legs.

As a result of summer-super sizzling sweaty faces burnt painfully.

As a result of mice- holes in your basement and cheddar cheese chewed.

As a result of Seagulls-stolen fish and chips by the seaside.

As a result of love- jealousy spreading widely for that one girl.

The results of Death- flowers pilling and sadness spreading while tears dash down.

As a result of Corona-no shops without a single roll of toilet paper or soap.

The Melody Of the Moon

On Monday, I tasted the most lovley,sweet,sour and scruptious strawberries watering with juice on my  tounge.

On Tuesday, I saw a mature milk-drinker,dancing to the melody of the moon.The rays of the moon shone on the cats back and revieled a,small patch of no fur,then the cat gave a low purr.

On Wednesday,I found some baby mammals purring like cats,scraching their mother,they went closer to the whale highway,and suddenly the whales jumed and a tear led out of the mother.

On Thursday,I heard the whistle and singing of seed-peckers chirping for food.They were probably hungry and not in a good mood.Their tummies rummbled like a storm as there dad came with food.

On Friday,I glanced deeply at the sky’s stars,wishing a shooting star would whizz by for me to wish I could fix the problems that I made.

On Saturday,I dreamed a fuzzy shape apearing,coming closer to me. I was in a ferroious forest eating poisenous berries,I tried to stop myself but I couldnt,the fuzzy shape just dissapeared.

On Sunday,I stoped to see what the noise was,it was a… witch in an Enchanted looking place cackling while making a potion.Then she took out a small rat and fed it the potion.It fainted,it looked as if she had a plan not just a plan,an evil plan
