The leopard chapter 2

Outside, a slash of lighting flickered along the sky and thunder roared from above. Inside, the murderer travelled through the abandoned church, searching for Dericks’ hiding spot. An old cross shattered on the floor, broken pues stretched across the room and torn pages from the bible. To his fear, he saw there was no longer a way out. It was hopeless.

Behind him the petrifying was striding through the tall door frame, his knife shimmering in his hand. Derick gulped…

… but that instant, something roared, as loud as lightning. Out of the abyss, not one but a set of blue eyes (that were as blue as the ocean) blacked, then a stripe of yellow and teeth as white as quarts shone. Whatever it was, it leaped past Derick and towered between him and the man.

It was massive. Massive and yellow. Derick realised that he was standing face to face in front of a leopard! It threw back its soft head and growled. At that moment, the man had disappeared. Derick stared, frozen to the spot, incapable of moving.

The leopard blinked; knelt down to his level, resting its on top of the old, creaky floorboards. Derick could see that the leopard was wounded. A small river of red running down its head. He had never been so close to such a rare creature before. As he took a breath he could smell: a forest; the blood descending its body; the presents of other animals and a metallic kind of smell.

Derick thought it was trying to scare him off but he didn’t feel intimidated at all. Without thinking he stretched out his hand and the leopard rested its head on Dericks’ hand. That instant he felt depression for the beast.

The leopard spoke in a low, terrifying voice that seemed to constantly echo in his mind,”do you know the gatekeeper?” “Who?” replied Derick “it doesn’t matter the hunters are here.”

Fifteen minutes later, they were at Theford and the leopard asked “what happened here?” “I don’t know it just happened.” -Will the hunters find them?-

Lion

Outside a flash of lightning appeared it scared Jordan as u tugged his coat tight. As the grey fog wrapped around the buildings they slowly disappear from sight

Derick Darwin

It was a gloomy day in October. The mist had consumed Brandon by that point, the lifeless alleyways stood in silence and held anything that could be lurking.

It was this day that Derick Darwin had a few deliveries to the wealthier part of town. He didn’t have a good coat, but it’ll have to do. As he headed to crown street (which was where the checkpoint was) it seemed his coat became looser and looser.

When he got to the checkpoint, he saw Melvin. Melvin’s attitude was the worst, it was like his feelings were dull and nothing else.

As he let someone through he immediately shouted “Next!!” Derrick then took a step, “can I pa-” “checkpoint pass!” (How rude is he?) Derick thought to himself. “Here you go…” “proceed.” As he walked he could hear a loud, “next!!” in the distance.

winter night

It was a snowy morning in Autumn clouds drifted heavily in the skies of Ludham. It was a shadow in the alleyways at night he slowly tugged at his coat. The weather was ice cold he slipped the his coat hood over him. Suddenly the towns lights all turned off apart of the wind it was fine.

Seal, Seal

Seal, Seal,

How do you get all the attention

From those around?

Why do you want all the fame you have?

Seal, Seal,

How do you become so

Talented when the man with the bucket

Of fish here?

Seal, Seal,

Do you find it irritating to sleep in the

Freezing cold nights of the

Antarctic?

Seal, Seal,

Is your nose flat so you

Are able to balance the beach balls?

Or is it that you are  just extremely talented?

Seal, Seal,

When will you get bored of fish?

Or will you never get bored of it?

Seal, Seal,

If you’ve eaten like this your whole life

How are you not very obese?

What animal am I?

I’m a tank-runner, running the area of my tank. I’m the prawn-devourer, eating every prawn in sight. We’ll often fight over a prawn like a bunch of wrestlers.

But we’re friends now like we never fought at all

If you want me I’ll be sunbathing on my platform above the sandy tank water.

If you want me I’ll be trying to get up this white rock, to look over at my brother who’s still sunbathing.

The deadly game of tag

One fateful day a Red squirrel was

running from the fierce Grey squirrels.

This death-avoiders chase was the

chase of possibly his whole entire life.

Its tail was like a orange and small

bushlike tail like it was autumn.

The curious crimson runner

seemed to be a risk-taker,

which was dangerous as he

was playing tag for his life.

Why was he sprinting? The red squirrel seemed

To be as gentle as a puppy.

Could this squirrel save its own

Life by going up the tree?

Or will it fail and die?

A Dragons tale

18th November 2012

Today I found a dragon of some sort and it started following me. I tried telling it to, “go home,” but it ignored my words and kept following me home. When I got home it flew through the gap in my window with no struggle.

19th November 2012

I woke up to see the colourful dragon sleeping on top of me then woke up and flew to land on my head. Then to my desk he pointed his tail to the desk and out came a small beach ball? It picked it up and held it above its head and eventually the dragon’s hands let go of the ball and hit it to me.

23rd December 2013

I’ve gotten used to the little guy and so did my Mum and Dad. But, my Grandma and Grandad will see him in two days so he’s practising his volleyball techniques right now and he can already beat me! We named him as well today. His name is spyral.

25th December 2013

When they were greeted by the Dragon they instantly started playing with him but they instantly lost and then the dragon did his little dance he always does when he wins.

The homework problem

“Why didn’t you hand your homework in?”

“Miss it’s a long story that I bet you won’t believe.”

“So it all started this morning. I just got up and was making breakfast on my table in my kitchen and then, I saw my homework so I got up off the chair and was going to put it in my bag. Then I knocked my bowl over and the milk spilt all over it. But I was in the van with my soggy homework then it flew out the van window!”

“Where’s your evidence to prove it?”

“On the main road!”
