I’ve never…

I’ve Never…

I’ve never come across a baby dark-coloured axolotl,

but I have stroked a fluffy grey koala.

I’ve never flown in a hot-air-balloon,

but I have been in a helicopter over the golden sandy beach .

I’ve never hugged a panda,

but I have cuddled Oscar my cat.

I’ve never swam in the River Ouse,

but I have been in a clear ocean.

I’ve never visited the queen on her horse,

but I have went to Ipswich Stadium.

I’ve never been in a Virgin space rocket,
but I have made a rocket out of lego.

I’ve never tried a delicous passion fruit,

but I have tried a dragon fruit.

I’ve never touched a unicorns horn,

but I have gazed at a rainbow in a reflection.

I’ve never felt a cloud,

but I have eaten cotton candy like a cloud.

I want to paint…

I want to paint –
the golden glistening heart of a daisy swaying side to side;
a slithering shiny snake sliding across the rough wooden floor;
and a beautiful blinging beach.

I want to paint –
a cloud as fluffy as cotton gliding over people’s heads;
cotton candy as sweet as sugar melting in a child’s mouth at a carnival;
and a hat laying silently as a mouse on a bed.

I want to paint –
the juicy small blueberries, taste bud tingling;
the taste of the wind blowing into my mouth on a summer evening;
the sound of the little tweeting birds waiting for their dinner .

I want to paint the end of this poem.

How to look after a baby dragon by Kayla

How to look after a baby dragon

Have you just been given a baby dragon to look after? Are you wonder how you are supposed to take care of one of the most fragile things at birth and the deadliest thing at adulthood. But fear not. This guide will help you let your baby dragon thrive in health and knowledge.

What you will need:

  • A large back garden
  • A water bowls
  • Meat (Beef, Chicken, Fish)
  • A tree (preferably planted)
  • Kindness
  • A firm pillow 1m wide and long
  • Water (but it likes orange juice better)

What to do:

First, create a spacious area for your baby dragon to prosper in its mental health because its main way to survive is to be happy.

Next, make sure to place a water and food bowls in its enclosure because it needs to drink regularly so it stays healthy.

Then, provide it a walk every two and a half hours so that it gets exercise (always have a lead on it as a baby dragon may want to explore).

After that, feed your baby dragon or it will get as viscous as a snake and will potentially bite you. It loves Beef, Chicken and Fish.

Also, a baby dragon loves attention. So, make sure to stroke it gently and it will love you even more.

As well this, the creature if you run a finger down it’s spine it will peacefully fall asleep so you can put it on its pillow. Beware this animal may fly in its sleep so shut all doors and windows.

Later on, check on the baby dragon because it may have nightmares. If you do not do that it will howl and call it’s bredrin.

Finally, play soft classical music in the background as a baby dragon love music. Repeat this every single day to make sure to maintain its perfect health.

Sadly, a dragon will out grow any house so you will need to let it out into the wild. This will be sad but if the dragon felt a true bond with you it will come back when you are in danger.

What are… Luka and Kayla

What are dull? The sudden dull rumble of the cloud as forks of lightning spike the sky.

What are hot? A mug of hot chocolate wafting its sweet scent into people’s nostrils.

What are fast? An extremely quick cheetah and a racing heart.

What are lonely? An abandoned village, a failed sketch and an old lady who lost a loved one.

What are dry? The Sahara Desert and a parched man’s throat.

What are lost? A child in a wood, a lonely thought and an old teddy.

What are cold? The snowy winter nights on Christmas day, a damaged, evil heart, a delicious ice cream waiting in the freezer to be eaten.

What are large? A wrinkly elephant, a hundred-kilogram weight, and a blue whale gliding through the crystal-clear ocean.

What are tiny? A cheeky mouse in the crack of your wall, an ant waiting for a slice of your watermelon and someone’s crushed confidence.

I have never… but I have… by Kayla

I have never…

I have never played in the Champions League final,                     but I have had a kick about with my friends in lush fields.

I have never ruffled a lion’s mane that’s as soft as a cushion,  but I have locked eyes with its lime-green irises.

I have never found a sapphire-blue diamond,                         but I have seen a cave full of pale-white crystals hanging like icicles.

I have never dived in the luke-warm waters of the Indian Ocean,                                                                                                                                                 but I have swum near the shore of the Atlantic Ocean.

I have never done a backflip on soil concrete,                        but I have performed a front flip on a trampoline.

I want to paint

I want to paint…

I want to paint

the shimmering, shining sunset and the orange red glow seeping through the window panes of an ancient cottage like a cosy fire spreading warmth and happiness,

the gnarled, twisted branches of an antique oak tree that clamber up a crumbling stone wall like emerald, lush ivy stems,

the sound of a squawking parrot flying freely in a tropical rainforest, expanding its feathered wings as it glides above the treetop canopy,

Milly’s Sky Adventure

Milly gripped tightly to the large, purple helm, causing the palms of her hands to blister. She struggled to steady her beautiful sky ship. For a split second she felt the sharp sting of regret, this was not what she had invisioned for her magical treasure hunting adventure.

Suddenly the pink wooden ship jolted, bringing her back to the harsh reality that her hopes and dreams were being attacked.

The Ship Has Landed !

CRACK! A burning bolt lit up the pitch black sky, like a lighthouse in the night. Although Milly’s vision was impaired by the torrential rain and thunder, the light cast a silhouette of a monstrous creature aboard the ship. Fear and panic crashed over her like a gigantic wave, as she realised the murky figure’s true intentions. “HEY!” before Milly had time to react, a sinking feeling dropped to the pit of her stomach as the ship started to plummet into the void.

The sound of chirping birds and gushing waters awoke Milly from her deep sleep, unaware of how long she had been there, or how she got there. Milly felt like she’d gone twelve rounds with a Minotaur. In a haze she picked herself up and looked around to assess her surroundings and the damage of the crippled vessel. The first thing she noticed was the enormous, pink trees towering over her like outlandish umbrellas, sheltering her from the unusually hot, blazing sun. In the bustling branches, tiny winged creatures resembling lizards, chirped a whimsical tune.

Shaking off the distractions, she turned her attentions to the ruins of the once almighty sky ship, now looking like an old shored up fisherman’s boat, weathered by time, damaged and in need of repair.
