My Marvellous Poem

I have never seen a delicious dancing chocolate digestive showing of his smooth moves

But I have seen a daffodil grooving in the warm summer breeze .

 

I have never eaten 100 lemons straight after each other

But I have enjoyed a scrumptious lemon sorbet that glittered like the bright yellow sun.

 

I have never eaten a 1000 foot long hotdog

But I have gulped down a double quarter pounder from McDonald’s

 

I have never been able to score a goal against capable Cristiano Ronaldo

But I have scored a goal for my football team, Stalham.

 

I have never been able to ride a elephant

But I have been able to handle Havannah (one of my mums 16 horses)

 

I have never been able to build a house

But I have helped my dad knock his down.

 

I have never been  able to change the past

But I have been able to change the future.

 

I have never  written 10,000 page book

But I have finished this poem.

 

I have never ridden a giraffe around the world .

I have never been given a creamy delicious ice cream and not eaten it

But I have been handed revolting sprouts at dinner and refused .

 

I have never run up the snowy sheets of Mount Everest without a coat

But I have stumbled up the fluffy stairs in my PJ’s.

 

I have never ridden a slippery slug to space  in a suitcase

But I have flown to Vietnam in a plane in a few hours.

 

I have never eaten the worlds biggest sizzle-y sausage in one gulp

But I have gobbled down a sensational ice cream in a few gulps [and got it all around my face].

 

I have never exercised on Mars in my PE kit

But I have done Joe Wicks during Lockdown in my PJ’s.

 

I have never been to Mars

But I have eaten a Mars bar .

 

I have never ridden a giraffe around the world

But I have sat on a horse trotting near Hickling barn .

 

I have never written a 1000000 page story

But I have finished this poetic poem.

 

I have never been a hero battling a bashful beast

I have never raced lewis Hamilton at Silverstone

But I have watched Top Gear from the sofa at home.

I have never seen aliens jumping for joy

But I have heard my dad snore like an earthquake!

I have never been in a murder mystery

But I have played Cluedo.

I have never travelled on Hogwarts Express

But I have been on a nempty train to London.

I have never been a hero battling a bashful beast.

But I have wrestled my brother, William, to the ground.

I have never completed building a space rocket

But I have finished this poem.

 

I have never seen a solar eclipse.

I have never flown to Mars.

But I have  driven to the  Lake District.

 

I have never  seen a UFO across the night sky.

But I have seen a stunt plane painting a hazy line across the purple sky.

 

I have never heard  an enormous elephant as water spurts from his trunk.

But I have hear a soft cat meow as it begs for food.

 

I have never climbed to the top of Mount Everest.

But I have climbed Skiddaw to it’s peak.

 

I have never seen my sister jump from a moving airplane.

But I have seen my dad on the TV.

 

I  have never seen a solar eclipse

But I have watched  David  Attenborough’s Life on Earth.

 

I have never read  a 1000 page book

But I have finished this poem.

I have never swum in the vast ocean,

But I have paddled the whole length of a swimming pool.

 

I have never built a humungous tower block,

But I have made a house out of Lego.

 

I have never seen the President of the United States’ White House,

but I have seen Max’s house.

 

I have never broken a house-brick in half,

but I have smashed my mum’s precious glass bowl by accident.

I have never seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa,

But I have seen Big Ben in London.

 

I have never raced Usain Bolt in the heat of the Summer Olympics,

but I can run faster than my younger brother, Luca.

 

I have never built a HP laptop,

But I have created a Lego tower.

But I have walked on Winterton-on-Sea’s beautiful beach.
