Eagles Eye Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Night had arrived, James was finally welcomed with a warm breeze but he couldn’t take a breath, he had to find where his sister was. He then tiptoed past one massive palm tree weirdly bigger than the rest, and ducked as he saw a tall suspicious man with a black mask covering his face, shoving someone into a tent. James, worried, crept past the man hoping he hadn’t been seen, and peeped under it, he could just make out a young girl and another man sitting at his chair, but, the girl looked to be… Olivia.

James was terrified, he immediately lifted his head up in horror. He placed his head in his knees whilst thinking how he has been a bad sibling for letting his sister get caught like that. He sat there for a moment before closing his eyes and waiting for what was coming next.

“So, what did you see?” a quiet voice came from behind him, he had been caught. He turned around with a tear running down his face and held his hands up, he opened his eyes, and then he saw… Sammy!? “Sammy what are you doing here? “You scared me.” James stared at her annoyed and very angry, “Just wondered! Sorry.” James breathed for a moment and grabbed hold of Sammy’s arm. “What’s going on?” She asked, James hushed her and started to pull her along with him to the back of the tent, luckily there was a small gap, he put one eye through and looked around the tent. Suddenly, James heard a glass break it made a shattering noise for a minute and then everything fell silent, James was scared, he reached for Sammy’s arm but couldn’t feel it. He looked to the side but couldn’t see her, she had disappeared…

“Done!” Sammy said whilst giving James a massive jump scare, “What!? How did you get there?” he looked to the other side of him, “I made the bad guy faint… sorry!” James looked at her with a slight smile, he giggled whilst looking back inside the tent. There, he saw two guys laying on the ground, they must have been knocked out. But Olivia wasn’t in the tent, James scanned the tent and grabbed hold of Sammy’s arm again, he pulled her to the next tent right beside the one they had just been by, and managed to dodge another one of the men. This time there was no gap at the back of the tent so he would have to look underneath. He ducked down whilst letting go of Sammy and held his breath, crossed his fingers, and just prayed that Olivia was inside…

She was there; gripping onto one of the poles holding the tent up. She was petrified, her hands were shaking. She had little rows of tears cascading down her face, but the worst thing James saw was that she had been wounded… There was a massive cut on the top of her head, and it was dripping with blood. She took her other hand and placed it on the wound, whilst trying to stop the blood oozing. James thought for a moment, there was no way he could get to his sister by going around the tent, he would get caught! So, he was going to have to crawl under. He peered over at Sammy, she was crouching down with her fingers crossed and her eyes were closed. James then climbed underneath the tent and hoped for the best.

He managed to stand up as he just completed crawling under the worlds most squished, compact area ever! He then looked over at Olivia who was facing the other way to him, “Hey, squirt, its going to be OK. Just grab hold of me and stay calm,” he whispered. Olivia heard the message and turned around, she slowly let go of the pole and immediately grabbed hold of James’s hand. He had got her, he had completed the first step.

“Olivia, you have to follow me and keep hold of my hand, OK?” Olivia nodded as her body almost stopped shaking. James climbed underneath the tent grasping hold of Olivia’s hand, but only to find out that Sammy had once again disappeared. Suddenly, Sammy appeared right in front of him, she had some blood on her, “I knocked another guy out, he was coming your way!” James smiled at her, and nodded. He peeked to the side and questioned whether there were any other men left. He saw they were all on the ground so he scurried towards the massive palm tree and leaned Olivia against it.

“Squirt, you have to bear with me, I’m going to get this wound bandaged.” He grabbed the first aid kit, wrapped up Olivia’s cut with an extra long bandage that was surely too big. Fortunately, it just wrapped around Olivia’s head as easy as ever, and perfectly tucked in at the end. He gazed at Olivia, smiled, and lifted her up, ready to run away. “WAIT UP!” Sammy shouted, as she ran towards them. James waited for a moment before storming past the campsite and heading towards theirs. He looked behind him and saw Olivia running, he could tell how she was extremely exhausted. He stopped for a moment and took a breath. He picked Olivia up and held her like a new born baby, and started jogging as sweat dribbled off his face. He was almost there, almost back at camp but he was too exhausted, he had to stop.

He stopped. He breathed, and he dropped Olivia onto some palm tree leaves. Luckily, they were nice and soft so Olivia didn’t have a hard landing. Sammy had just about caught up with them, she sat on the ground, exhausted. Olivia pulled herself up and tightened the bandage that was nearly falling off. “James, are we almost there?” She asked before grabbing a leaf and unusually examining it. “Yes squirt, I promise. Now what are you doing with that leaf?” James stared at her, then he crouched down and gazed at the leaf with her. “I don’t see the fuss about this one leaf,” he exclaimed whilst squinting at it. Sammy looked at it as well, “It’s, it’s special…” Olivia said as she smiled at the leaf, James patted her on the head, and carried on walking, “Wait for me!” Olivia shouted before folding up the leaf and placing it in her pocket. “And me!” said Sammy.

All of a sudden, the wind started howling, James felt drops of water drizzling onto his head. He looked behind him and saw Olivia falling behind glaring up at the sky, it was dark, it was cold, and there was a storm coming… “OLIVIA, SAMMY COME HERE!” James shouted, but the wind was getting stronger, he was struggling to shout. Sammy was luckily just about strong enough to climb towards James, she grabbed hold of a tree and waited. “OLIVIA!” James yelled, but there was no point, she wouldn’t make it. He pushed himself towards Olivia but he couldn’t go any further, they would have to try something else. Suddenly, two sticks came flying past, James grabbed them and tried not to let go, “OLIVIA GRAB THE STICKS YOU CAN WALK WITH THEM!” James shouted at the top of his lungs, then he let go of them.

Fortunately, Olivia caught the sticks and stabbed them into the nasty muddy ground, James stared in horror, he had absolutely nothing. Hold on… he had just remembered, the knife! The pocket knife that he had picked up earlier! He struggled to snatch it out of his pocket, he had it. James stabbed it into the tree next to him, it was hard to stab but with all of his might, but finally, he had jabbed it in. “JAMES I’M STRUGGLING!” Olivia shouted whilst accidentally dropping the sticks, James pushed himself forward with the knife and thought for a moment, he might be able to grab hold of Olivia now! “SQUIRT, HOLD ON! STRETCH OUT YOUR ARM AND TRY TO GRAB MINE!” James shouted, as he stretched out his arm the furthest he could. Olivia stretched her arm, James reached for it…

He grabbed it, then James pulled her towards him and wrapped his arm around her waist as hard as he could. He pulled himself up towards Sammy, with the knife and hoped the storm would stop soon…

Fifteen minutes had passed. James, Olivia and Sammy were all under a massive jacket James had found in his rucksack. Pure silence echoed the desert, it was over… the storm had finished. James lifted off the jacket which had gathered massive holes all over. He then looked up, only to find the sun, peeping from behind the clouds. James smiled at Olivia and held his hands on her cheeks, he then lifted up her head, “Hey squirt, you’re the bravest, and don’t worry the storm has stopped.” He smiled at her, and then she smiled back. Sammy gazed up at the sun, “Howdie sun, how inconvenient you didn’t come out earlier, it would have made our lives much better!” she exclaimed, as she shaded her eyes. James smiled at her, now that the storm had stopped they could start planning their next adventure.

Chapter 4: The Sky Vessel

Chapter  4: The Sky Vessel

Luna and Jade completely exhausted they looked for a place to stay for the night. They found a big willow tree it was cold and the breeze was felt like ice. All Luna had was her big jumper and he had nothing else. Jade seemed to be immune to the cold so he had no trouble sleeping the wind felt like a hurricane getting closer and closer, Luna dug her head into her very large jumper and thought of her mum and how she would always sing to her.

She got Tiny Tim and cuddled him in her arms and started singing to him the hurricane of a wind kept roaring until morning. Luna woke up to feel the lovely warm sun on her back and the willow tree had dew drops from all the rain and wind. She got up and gave a big yawn a new lovely day she thought to her. Self she looked at Jade she thought would to come back with some breakfast in bed for Jade.

So, Luna and tiny Tim went out to find some berries and she told Tiny Tim that Jade loved red berries. Tiny Tim found them with in seconds and brought them to Luna and Tiny Tim made their way back to Jade and gave them to him. Jade loved them and thanked Luna many times. After breakfast Jade said he had to tell Luna something very important he said that as much they had enjoyed being on this island that we had to go back home Luna was sad to hear that but she knew it was for that best.

Luna asked if he knew how to get back home.  At first Jade was clueless, but he remembered they both wanted most of all world and Jade knew that all Jade wanted was to home and Luna did to.  They made their way through the tough jungle until they fund where they had landed. They remembered how their mother had pushed them off the sky ship. Jade held back his tears as they arrived.

Luna had a flash back and remembered everything. She was sad but happy they were going home. Luna remembered how. They would get home. They didn’t have a ship or a plane or a number for a rescue team. Jade felt a bit silly for not thinking of that. Something magical happened, Tiny Tim started flying in the air. Luna and Jade were completely surprised he went back down to the ground and gave them his magic. Before Luna and Jade knew it they were flying in the air.

Jade was so excited and screamed we can go home Luna picked up Tint Tim and they flew round the whole world. Till they found were they lived they all took a deep breath including Tiny Tim and knocked on the door to find their parents standing at the door they all burst into tears and hugged one another THE END.

The Thunder Bolt-Chapter 4: The Last Push

Captain Storm-Breaker held his niece and nephew in his arms, the sound of his heartbeat to Ruby’s ear. She felt safe, like she was a castle and that he had wrapped a moat around her.

“So, what’s the plan?” Captain Storm-Breaker asked his family.

As night melted to morning, the gang (Bobo, Buddy, Ash, Captain Storm-Breaker, Leo and Ruby) sneaked out of William Scott’s camp and prowled to the vault. Bobo unleashed the covering, revealing the horrible cages. Ruby suddenly remembered how awful it was, but that made her more determined to save them.

Captain Storm-Breaker said, “I didn’t realize how bad this would be. Ruby, you’re right. We must save them.” Leo asked Bobo how to unlock the crates, but he didn’t know himself. A lightbulb pinged in Ruby’s head, as she grabbed one of her hair clips and jabbed it into the pad lock of a crate, rotating it. Click! Ruby had unlocked the first cage, as a golden eagle swept out.

“That’s my girl!” Captain Storm-Breaker said proudly.

“Well, that’s why I did girl scouts!” Ruby laughed. One by one, the gang unlocked each cage, until there was one left, with the most incredible animal they’d ever seen: a banshee. His claws were like coat hangers and his horns stretched to the heavens. His majestic wings were tucked in; there wasn’t enough room to show his true wingspan. His face was painted with sadness and his back was hunched, as he wrestled the chains around his feet. Buddy poked his nose through the gaps in its cage, rubbing its nose and barking joyfully.

“Leo, I think you should do the honours! After all, you are my amazing brother. We couldn’t have done this without you!” Ruby beamed.

Out of nowhere, Leo started crying, tears rushing down his cheeks like a never-ending waterfall.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done what I have. I’m a horrible person!” he sobbed.

“What do you mean?” Ruby asked her brother, her face stone-cold.

“He told me about your pathetic, little plan,” William Scott’s voice said. “He said that you were going to save the animals and stop me.”

“Leo, why would you do that?” Captain Storm-Breaker spoke.

“He said he would help us find a way out of the island, if we let him keep the animals,” Leo replied. William Scott grabbed Bobo by the wrist and dragged him out along the floor, Bobo’s eyes sharing a glimpse with Leo. They were filled with fear, and Leo felt like he was the worst person in the world. The other explorers that worked for William snatched the animals and locked them back up, all of them screeching, and whimpering. “Okay, you’ve got your animals back. Now let us out of this island!”

“I’m afraid I’m not going to do that, Leo. I can’t have anyone in the way of my scientific discoveries. Therefore, I’m going to lock you all up. Your ‘baby phoenix’ will be experimented on!” William Scott cackled evilly.

“You beast!” Ruby screamed at him, as the gang were being taken by the explorers. Whining, Buddy rubbed noses with the banshee for a final time, as Buddy was dragged away by his collar.

“You tricked me!” Leo screamed.

Several hours later, the gang were locked up in their own cage, like a prison cell. Ash had been taken by William and was now in his study, stuck in a chest with many other small creatures. Ruby refused to even look at her twin, disgusted that they were related.

“Ruby, I’m sorry. I never wanted this to happen!” Leo whispered softly.

“Well, it has happened. Because of you!” Ruby snapped in return. Captain Storm-Breaker didn’t say a word; he was too busy reading a book titled: How to Get Out of Sticky Situations! Bobo lay on the ground, lifeless. His body ached in agonizing pain.  He had sores running all the way up his spine. Curled up in a ball, was Buddy, wind whistling through his nose.

They had lost all hope.

“I’m not just going to sit here! We must do something!” Leo said abruptly. “Look, I know that I’ve messed up, but we can’t just do nothing!”

Silence echoed around the room.

“Fine, hate me. But I’m not going to stay in the cell, whilst animals are suffering.” Out of nowhere, Captain Storm-Breaker threw his book and agreed with his nephew, everyone else following, except for Ruby. “Come on, Rubes. We’ve got to do something!”

Ruby admitted, “Okay, I’ll help you. But just so you know…I’m not doing this for you. It’s for the animals.” Buddy’s tail wagged ecstatically, as they all gathered round to capture a plan.

The gang found a way out through the ventilation system and were now outside. Captain Storm-Breaker and Bobo were busy making a plane to get off the island and the rest were fetching the animals. After hours of unlocking, all the creatures were galloping to the plane, which was now ready. It was of titanic size, so that everyone would fit. They were about to sail off, into the tangerine-orange sunset, when Ruby yelled, “Ash! He’s still stuck in there!” Before his sister could, Leo bolted as fast as a cheetah, ripping a hole in the tent, that William Scott’s study was in, with his father’s pocketknife. Crawling on his hands and knees, Leo sneaked inside, praying that William wouldn’t notice him. Leo noticed a smoke bomb under William Scott’s desk and threw it like it was a shotput out the hole he had made in the tent.

“Oh, great!” William yelled, running out as smoke filled the camp, like a killer virus.

“Yes!” Leo whispered to himself, finding a key and unlocking the chest that Ash was trapped in. A single silver tear fell from Ash’s eye, a tear of joy that someone had saved him. Leo didn’t just escape with Ash, but all the tiny baby creatures in the chest, Ruby grinning as she saw Ash prancing back to her.

“Good job, Leo. Now let’s go!” Captain Storm-Breaker said, all the gang reunited and everyone got ready on the plane.

Ruby was stroking a lizard’s head, when she noticed her brother alone in the corner.

“You did a brave thing, you know, Leo,” Ruby whispered to her brother, to not disturb the slumbering animals. “Thank you.”

Leo stood up and said, “Ruby, I’ve been thinking. Why just save the animals on that island, when there are thousands in danger all over the globe?”

“You mean, go all over the world saving endangered creatures? Leo, that’s impossible!”

“Never say never! Come on, Ruby. You in?” Leo said, crossing his fingers.

“Okay, I’m in.”

Chapter Four:A Reunion

Chapter Four: A Reunion.

Jack asked what was on the paper, Mali replied I think it’s a map of the island. look the beach we landed on is called Magic Sands Beach and the church were in is called the ruined church. They went off to explore.  A few hours later they came to the Old Village, it only had the remains of two houses. Jack looked in he there were dark shadows ever where. He thought he saw a flicker of light. Then he saw it a big human like hand reaching out to drag him in to the shadows. Then a big scared face appeared. It was the mother orangutan and the seagull called Jim. The baby orangutan (called captain Jake after their fathers name) ran to his mother.

A few minutes later they were all friends. Mali and Jack also decided to stay on the island and make it there home along with the animals. A couple of hours later they had set up camp and were sitting round a campfire eating fish with a beautiful red, yellow and orange sunset behind them. They were happier than they had ever been before.

Adventure on the Roaring Fish Chapter 4

Adventure on the Roaring Fish

Chapter 4

Ferb started walking them round the island while Claudia was being a chatter-box to him. Claude kept trying to close her mouth but he had no luck, she loved how Ferb listened in (he was definitely bored). They arrived at a crack in the ground which had lava in the depths, Ferb had told them it was named ‘The Crack of Dawn’. Claude was suspicious about Ferb. Claudia kept reminding Claude to use manners. Ferb had a great idea, she thought that they could gather materials to make a boat so they could find their way home.

As they explored, Claude had discovered a cave behind the volcano, He went to get Claudia to show her when Ferb had come out with lumps and bundles of wood and stones. both of them stood in shock as Ferb offered them his Oster-Blades to help get around faster. Luckily Claude had massive feet so they acted as some huge skates. Claude put them on and piggybacked Claudia while Ferb (and only Ferb) was building the raft.

When it was complete, Claudia and Claude came back with oodles of snacks and drinks. As they loaded it all on the raft, Ferb went to his home, picked up a picture of his family and brought it with him, the three of them drifted off into the mist never to return.
