The reality of a sky ship adventure

The reality of a sky ship adventure

You’ve probably been on a sky ship adventure soaring through the sky, clouds at the tips of your hair. You can stare at Pegasus waltzing happier than ever. Do you remember that autumn day when the weather was just perfect and the galloping rain felt extra refreshing.

I bet you’ve had the best time on your journeys from here to there, south to west, watching the night city light up with a glow. Maybe you’ve tried watching the stars shoot across the sky like salt shaken on a dark oak table til the sun comes to life admiringly.

But would you try a flight to your worst nightmare with the wind blowing you in the wrong direction, other pirates boarding your ship seeking for treasure. When your closest friend is really not your friend at all. When the storms from the south com crashing in like a colossal waterfall. That’s when your exciting adventures turn to disaster.

And some even say purple lightning will turn everything you worked for to dust, you might not believe in secret spy butterfly’s until your in explosion because when your on a sky ship adventure anything could happen…

*******

The sky ship was shaking through the clouds, Melia stuck below deck, out  of sight, no sign of help. The tempting urge to smash the window was haunting her constantly. She heard the muffled sound of the captain shouting on and on… Something got into her, something precarious, something deathly…

It went black, it felt like a dream. She felt a plugs in her stomach as she was drifting down, down, down. She thought it was over, finished.. Suddenly, a cold, dry hand gripped onto her arm pulling her up. What was happening? Was she in more danger? She wished to get help, after the whole incident nobody could win her trust just like that.

“Why did you do that? You could have gotten yourself killed!” Aggressively questioned a boy. “You are totally ridiculous you know” the boy remarked. She slowly opened her eyes, she had trust in him. “W..who are you?” Melia whispered. He ducked down a trap door to underneath the ship searching for something rapidly, “It doesn’t matter who I am, I know this is weird but you gotta stay here!” He bellowed while prodding through piles and piles of mess.

Eagerly Melia stared into the distance as the the sun set, thinking about what had happened. “Can I ask for a favour?” He shouted to Melia from under the cold hardwood floor. “I uh umm sure” Melia answered back as she clambered down a ladder into a very chaotic office. She examined the room, then something struck her in the guts like a poison arrow shooting through her heart, it was a picture.. the only picture of her dad…

The land (pt 2 of my sky ship story)

Melia was zoned out, thinking about she had seen until there was a loud POP coming from above the office. She felt a sudden plunge in her stomach like a really heavy wait had hit her insides, she had leave, get away. That was Melia’s plan but the sky ship got to the ground than expected. Her and the boy heard muffled voices rushing around and moving swiftly outside the ship. “Now that we may be stuck together for the rest of eternity I think we should introduce ourselves. I’m Melia!” She announced to the boy, “oh yeah umm I’m..I’m Artemis, Artemis Shingha” he spoke quietly but confidently. Ruining the moment they heard a repetitive knock at the enclosed window. Artemis peaked out the curtains to a jolly little piglet. Other than this peculiar little creature Artemis could  see crates, paths and spruce wood buildings.

Artemis unlocked the secret emergency hatch door to be crowded by animals of every breed and shape speaking and running around, the piglet he saw through the window had a big grin and grabbed Artemises arm pulling him along small patches of grass, Melia followed along all the way to a Small village bakery. The warm waft intrigued Artemis and Melia as they were dying for even a crumb of a crispy pain a chocolate with the sweet crunch moisturising they’re mouth. “ come, come I have yummy food you two can eat and then I can show you the whole entire village with a five star tour by the one and only meee, if you couldn’t tell I LOVE visitors on the island!” The piglet screamed with delight while skipping in a circle around them. There was a silent pause as Artemis and Melia exchanged looks. “Well aren’t you going to say something?” The piglet said excitedly! They knew they shouldn’t take food from strangers so they had leave, try and get up up and away.

They ran along the path glaring at the blooming spring flowers and the freshest green grass. In the distance was the fresh salty sea flowing in the chilly wind. They could see birds soaring like aeroplanes through the big fluffy clouds. There was a cold summers breeze with a smell of exotic fresh fruit. Melia and Artemis sensed something wrong with this perfect golden village but it was just soo beautiful they felt like they couldn’t leave. Artemis sudden;y saw a glimpse of what was over the water but then the distanced fog closed over his view. The harbour was busy with oak boats coming to and from the village. Suddenly something took over them, it felt like the island was closing in,trapped. Without an airship or boat there was no way of escaping now.

They were stuck and it all went black…

Hope alert (pt 3 of my sky ship story)

They both awoke to a sudden sickness in their stomachs. They looked up to an electric blue sky with oddly shaped clouds. Artemis rested his hand gently down into the cold, breezy water. “A last, you are awoken”announced a voice of a stranger, “oh um hello” melia muttered worried about being taken aboard by a stranger. They finally got to land, a strike of undeniable fear hit melia with no explanation.

“Im flora, your welcome for taking you away from that ridiculous island.”, the girl announced as she started tying up the boat to the main land. They all heard a squeak from behind the hills, Artimus ran through the mounts of grass to find a young toddler centaur. “ Guys, come help” Artemis yelled.

They tried they’re best to save the creature. Hope for them all is hopefully what they need.

Something (pt 4 of my sky ship story)

Melia rested the centaur in a blanket by the fire. All was going perfect down by the beach. A couple of hours later, they all tucked up under warm cozy covers underneath the shining stars. Almost in seconds the crew was. Apart from one..

Melia stared up at the clouds as rain started to come down at a heavy space, a storm was beginning. She sat alone, by the sea staring out int the distance, feeling peaceful and calm. Until.. something started arising from the waves of sea far far away from camp.

Melia curled up tight hiding from the threat coming near.

Later that night melia was almost asleep but not for long a the threat was right behind her..

The Flora (prologue + parts 1-4)

The Flora

Sky-ships are usually a fun place to be. Wind blowing in your hair, looking down at all the wonderful sights. When you chose to take this trip, so you could get you your desired destination. Maybe for a holiday, or to visit family and friends, you were always excited on a sky-ship.

Maybe ‘excited’ wasn’t the best word. Maybe ‘anxious’ or ‘petrified’ would be a better word for some sky-ship rides. Such as the ones you don’t chose. The ones where the trip was necessary for someone’s life, or your own.

The trips where sky-pirates attack your ship, or vicious dragons set it ablaze. That’s when you wish you were safely down on the ground. That’s when you wish you had never stepped aboard a sky-ship at all.

Part One

“Pull the ropes harder!” Isabella barked at her younger brother.

“ i’m trying these ropes have been here since the 1800s!” Robin replied bitterly. The Flora sky-ship was one of the oldest on the Sunflower Isles, yet still the most glamorous. Isabella Pomegranate stood tall on the wet, wooden deck, peering down over the islands. They were just passing over Daffodil Valley, and the yellow of mid-April was blinding.

“Uh Isabella” Robin said wearily.

“What? I’m busy” Isabella replied sourly.

“What’s that ship, in the distance?”

“Where?”

“West.”

The incoming ship was massive, about 3x the size of The Flora. Shouts and screams were coming from it. As the ship got closer, Robin could see around 5-10 people. And not just any people. Sky-pirates.

Their mother had told them stories about sky-pirates. Savage, psycho, killers. Isabella grabbed her bow a handful of arrows. Robin clutched a sword. Isabella drew back an arrow and aimed. The pirates were clearly visible now and they were headed right for them. Isabella hit their balloon but it nothing but anger the pirates further.

“Please don’t hurt us!” Robin pleaded.

“Erm no” the pirate with the biggest beard laughed. Isabella shot him in the chest.

“Oi! Get them!” A pirate shouted, and hit an arrow into their ballon, making a hole the size of a small car, causing the, to plummet through the clouds into the unknown.

Part Two

“AHHH!” Isabella and Robin screamed in unison. Isabella managed to steer the ship ever so slightly, in hope that they would land on solid ground. Robin clung to the banister for dear life as the ship fell hopelessly through the sky.

“I see land!” Robin shouted to Isabella, peering over the side of the ship.

“Is that…” Isabella said wearily.

“THE FOREST” Robin finished in utter shock. The sibling looked down in fear as the tall trees came to meet them. ‘The Forest’ was the most feared place on the Isles.

“Dad will kill us when we get home” Robin complained.

If we get home.” Isabella replied, putting emphasis on the ‘if’.

Once they had landed on the leaves and mud of the forest, Isabella and Robin set off to find resources to fix the balloon. Trees taller than anything they had ever seen towered over them, casting dark and ominous shadows. The smell of wet leaves filled their noses as they darted through the forest.

As Robin stuck leaves together with tree-sap, something shiny caught Isabella’s eye. A small, golden compass.

“Isabelllllaaaaaaa” Robin moaned. “I’m donnnnnne.”

“Okay, okay” she replied, picking up the compass.

“What was that? Stop making weird noises, Robin” Isabella scolded him.

Robin made a confused face. “I didn’t say anything. You’re mental. Let’s go.”

Part Three

As they made their way back to the ship, Isabella noticed something about the compass. “Robin?”

“Whatttt?”

“This compass doesn’t point north.”

Robin stopped. “What?”

“We should follow it!” Isabella said excitedly.

“No.”

Isabelle obviously didn’t listen, and bolted off in the direction the compass pointed her. Robin sighed and followed her reluctantly.

Isabella gasped. Sparkling blue eyes looked up at her lovingly, long dark eyelashes batted at her. She picked up the small, delicate unicorn and a glittering pink horn pierced a hole in her white dress.

“We should call her Violet” Isabella stated, and took her back to the sky-ship.

Part Four

“It’s a beautiful night” Isabella said quietly, staring out into the night sky. The siblings looked up at the bright white moon. Pale outlines of the two were cast onto the deck, by the light of the stars.

Isabella sat on the side of the ship, swinging her tanned legs over the edge, dangling them into the deep void of the sky. Robin came to join her, struggling to get up onto the edge.

“You’re supposed to be asleep” Isabella said lightly.

“So are you.”

That’s when they heard. Scratching on the side of the ship. Isabella sneaked over to the railing and peeked over. A bright pink eye stared back up at her.

“It’s another unicorn!” Isabella screamed with delight, and the unicorn, who they named Lavender, joined them.

The dark night faded into a beautiful spring morning, and they sailed off in the direction of home.

Maybe.

They were born on a Sky-ship before they had to evacuate. Their Mother accidentally left them on the ground and sadly Dad couldn’t evacuate in time. They were only two years old and had no protection.

They evacuated safely, even that there dad died and they arrived at a village called the ninja village because everyday it was very stealth and windy and they lived there.Up till today they can’t find there mum.

So they went on a journey in a sky ship.

They are crash-landing. They’re been attacked by sky dragons and their ship has run out of electricity and the weather is very windy. So they abandoned the ship and jumped but before that they put a ship mind controlling gps, that could charge the ship and when it is on a reasonable percent, they could locate it or bring it to them and could turn the ship invisible,so that is what they did.

They crash landed in a place called ninja village. It was so windy and cold. They looked around and they saw shrunken’s and ninja masks so they became frightened but not really cause they had powers.

They started running until they got to ninja village. So they asked a man if they could spleen at his house overnight.

In the morning they woke up and found themselves in an unknown place. I can smell danger-max said, run!! replayed John.

After getting to a safe place breathing-heavily. They heard a sound, max working softly and then shouted it’s a baby dragon. It must have falling cause of the wind. It’s hurt, they took the baby-dragon in.Go get a super-potion to heal it’s wounds – Max said.

All night the wind blew. Alone, mam clogs into the ship. Wind blew to the expense that their ship could blow away. Max shivered. How long can we fly on. At that moment max hears a low screaming noise. Silently a raged bird appeared . Max gulped. Could it be a lam bird. Quiet moment. They fainted.

When they woke up,the sun was shining bright. They were safe.

It’s wings were wider than two human arm spans,
It’s four little plump eyes gazed upon them like a whirlpool
and it seemed to be just too big to be inside the egg; which was a moment before near the size of a human head.
“Yes!!!” Ms Snappish shouted.
“Finally!” She gleamed, the creatures long snake-like body wriggling like a worm.”The search is over!”
“So this is a sky worm child?” Suzy thought.
“Where’s it’s mother!?” Mark blurted out.
Ms snappish grinned…

As they were in the air, Ms Snappish seemed to be a bit more cautious.
“Should be here in a few minutes.” She mumbled “Sky-worm mothers never leave their kids…”
She was cut off by a riveting roar from behind, a massive sky worm of what must have been twenty metres long, emerged from the clouds.
It’s mouth was horrendous, with teeth all down it’s a throat, razor-sharp.
Ms Snappish, who by this point was utterly mad, held the baby up to its mothers mouth and in a horrible accent demanded her to be tamed.

Ms Snappish gave The beast its child and
The sky worm devoured her in one gulp. GULP! Splitting the sky ship in two.
Suddenly they were tumbling through the air grasping at a blanket each trying to make a parachute, it didn’t work.
Suzy gulped as she breathed in her final breath…

…Boing! What was that? They weren’t dead! They had simply landed in their neighbours back garden on a birthday-blowup castle!
“Finally!” Mark sighed, “we’re home!”.
“Who invited you two rotters to the party?” Their neighbour Ms Woodwind growled.

The Journey-part 3

The Journey- part 3  by Odey

The creature finally rose up from the murky sand, and was crawling up to Go.Go launched himself backwards sprinting as fast as he can to the ship to find some protection. Gon lifted himself himself slightly off the ground, so that the creature couldn’t reach him. Gon could just make out what the creature was. “It’s a velociraptor” “and it’s hurt” called Gon. Go came out of his hiding spot holding a sword and shield. “It must have got hurt in the storm”replied Go.

The velociraptor was shivering with terror and limping. Gon dashed off to get a cup of water and a blanket, wondering whether it would make it.
