No more of the old Sava, the miserable slave who worked non-stop and bad treated or the girl who took a nibble of food when Miss Backstick was around. The new Sava was owned by a loving woman and had dog called Fluff as a brother.Winter break finally comes around.Inside,Sava warms up the house, setting the fire while heat melts the place.Outside there were no longer the leafy, green trees and all that remained were icy sticks, snowy bushes and humps of snow.Life was great. Sava got used to the weather and loved the countryside it was much more green and healthy,(before the freezing weather). What was good in the city anyway? It looked like a rotten apple dipped in toxic.Miss Backstick would cook,Sava would clean and would send Fluff to the shops and get sticks for the fire. Sava was side by side with peace.
At nightfall, Sava’s only terrifying duty she had to do for her family’s safety was checking the room. The room where all the dead bodies were hidden, where blood leaked before you checked any area. What made it worse, was the dark.It was so pitch black no one would of guessed they were stepping in a bucket of knifes or a puddle of wine red, human liquid. You could still hear screams but see no crime or an owl making noises all night long. She stepped in the room of her doom. The sun rays shone straight at Sava’a eyes,it woke her up with the first thing in mind. Feeding Fluff. A few days ago, he twisted his ankle in a care home so he’ll have to recover. She got some food and went on her little trip. The good news was that Christmas was around and everyone had high hopes with joyful spirits. The bad news was that Sava had one that won’t leave her mind. Would people find out the horrible secret? Many people were coming to the celebration with their foster kids. Curious children. We could be exposed, in the newspapers, sent to jail. All Sava could do was hope for the best.
Unfortunately, the day had to happen.By the time it was Christmas, the pathway was layered with slushy snow, the rooftop showered with snowflakes and icicles decorating all around the house. But you’d never could of guessed that inside, was a crazy celebration going on.People dancing or talking and having fun.The meal was to die for.Full of turkeys, cranberries, potato salads, hot soups with giblets and rice, steam puddings with hard sauce, fruit cakes and Danish pastries. Sava took a perfect bite from a sweet, chocolate cake that oozed with creamy, white vanilla topped with a single fruity-flavored,scarlett cherry. All was going on so well, she got distracted and forgot to make sure Fluff was taking care of children with her!Stomp!Stomp!Stomp! The children climbed upstairs where the room was hidden. One little, pretty girl with 2 big polished pigtails and bright red bows with a small dress placed her tiny hand on the greasy handle where the room was.
“Do not-”Screamed Sava pushing the other kids out of her way.
But it was too late.
“AAAAArrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”They all exclaimed.
Fluff had the loudest bark Sava had ever heard. Before she could do anything, all the adults were there and heard everything.Everyone gasped in shock as Sava slowly turned around, trembling with fear.
“I can-can explain,”She mumbled.
“You better,or I am calling the police!”A lady threatened.
Just before Sava could say anything,Miss Backstick spoke up.
“I did it!You have the right to arrest me but I did it for a reason,a good one,”She announced,
“Have fun telling that to the police,Ha!”Laughed a man picking up the nearest telephone around the house.
Sava’s eyes watered to the top. In no time, policemen knocked on the door and several carts were waiting outside.
“Where’s the threat?”The chief police officer demanded.
“She’s there,”A lady replied.
Sava rushed to her foster mum and had their last hug. They cried so hard.
“Goodbye,”Miss Backstick cried.
Two policemen violently grabbed her.
“You are legally arrested in law for 7 years and 9 months,”One of them declared.
“Don’t touch her!Let her go!NOW!!!”Sava screamed.
“Woah feisty, how old are you?8!Run along,”The other one joked.
“She’s my MOTHER!”
But again,it was too late.At least Miss Backstick heard and smiled.
Months passed and Sava had a new owner. One lesson she’d learnt was…
ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR LOVED ONES
