The city

You are a Elephant trying to hide in a city, every corner you turn a million faces look at you like lasers to your head.

Feeling like you are  alone and have nowhere to go.

For no one is like you, you are unsure where to go, Africa or Asia, you don’t know what your family looks like. Unsure if you have big or small ears, not sure if you’re black or grey. You asked a stranger if they could help but nobody could understand your cries.

You walked around a corner, to a jewellers I might add, you looked at your wonky reflection in the window. You saw your big grey ears and large grey body, you knew where you needed to go, to to be with elephants like you, that understand you and weren’t surprised by the way you looked. Africa!

Now you are in your safe haven you are happy and happy is good. Way away from the city, away from the people, away from what used to be  home or what you thought it was. Now that you’re happy you have family that loves you like no other, you are the happiest elephant alive.

  2. Dear Ella,

You have used some really strong story telling language here.

    Well done!
