The terrifying dragon
The crusty scaly skin that is as old as a treasure map.
Different parts of the body markings on an ancient treasure chest.
The eyes are like giant planets that spin in orbit.
The claws are deadly triangles that capture its victims like a trap.
The rough scales shine like the full moon.
He breathes burning hot flames from his scary mouth.
The wings fly like airplanes, high in the damaging sky.
His tense tail curls and flicks from left to right.
His terrifying tongue wants to hurt people.
You have created a powerful poem Medine. I think your image ‘his tense tail curls and flicks’ is particularly effective, well done.
Dear Medine,
This is just fabulous.
I love your determination to pick just the right word and make your poem as good as it can be.
