Airship Adventure Part Two
Lorna looked around as she woke up from her deep sleep. Tom was already up and about. Great mounds of mud were surrounding them making up towers as tall broken-down factories. Beneath her feet were piles of musty leaf litter and rotting twigs.
In the distance, Tom could make out the faint sound of a rushing waterfall like waves crashing furiously against the sand back at home. Every now and then they would hear strange noises like wild animals emerging from their burrows or creepy crawlies climbing silently up Lorna’s sleeve.
The wind pierced their ears as it howled like a pack of hungry wolves.
The children’s pale faces soon grew scratched and wounded from the irritating and harmful bramble bushes. The sun was just rising when they heard something… like a king cobra approaching them….
