The real emporium

Chapter 2:The real emporium

“ My name is Carmon Verbington,” said the owner, staring down John like a hawk,”If I find you touching my book again I will tell Wagna here to eat you.”It was only then that John noticed the massive eagle on Carmon’s shoulder. Carmon now spoke again but in a more reassuring tone”Anyway, you made it past my marathon of scares so you can see the real emporium. You are lucky. You are one of 5 people to be allowed in my real shop.” with that he opened a giant steel door and John stepped inside.

The real emporium was a beautiful color of cream and it was more of a party then a shop! It had a tiled dance floor in the middle, multicolored spotlights hanging from the ceiling and a bubbling hot tub at the back with a ginormous flat screen television. On one side of the room were rows and rows of food and kitchen supplies and one the other side were beds of all shapes and sizes. Then he noticed another book but it was on a diamond podium by the side of the dance floor.

Just then, 4 people greeted him “Hello! Welcome to the real emporium. My name is Jeff and this is Jeffery,Jane and Jackie.” Jeff said cheerfully.”Hi. I’m John, nice to meet you.” replied John. In seconds, John found himself in the hot tub. It was soothing and calm. When the others weren’t looking John crept out of the hot tub and went to face the book. Once the book opened, John started to write about a room that led to a mountain, then he drew a picture of this mountain. He drew the mountain small enough not to get snow on it but high enough to feel the breeze, on top he drew a small shack with his dream house inside. Below was a blossom tree forest where weird but wonderful creatures lived and somewhere in that forest was the place he was standing in now with his new friends.

Once finished drawing,John looked up only to find his friends were gone. All there was was a wooden door with a shiny golden handle he opened it and stepped in. He was on a mountain overlooking a forest. Not any old forest, a blossom tree forest! He looked behind him, now he was facing a shack. He heard an eagle! He ran inside full of joy, amazement and worry.
