The Ocean Unicorn

The Ocean Unicorn, who is a legendary creature, hasn’t been seen since 1803! It lived on the coastline. However, now it lives in the deepest depths of the ocean because it can be mistaken as a fish. If it stays in the water for a week or two it’s fur goes all wrinkly.

The deepest depths of the ocean is where all the happy, colourful fish go because they know it is a clean place with no rubbish or seaweed. It’s a wonderful place to celebrate as there is always a DJ to make everyone dance. The Ocean Unicorn invites everyone to relax as many sessions go on throughout the day.

It’s bright blue eyes shine in the dark to show the way while the strong, powerful wings and tail power through the crystal clear waters. The bright, sharp horn controls the waters all around the world. When it flies around, water comes flaring out of both nostrils to keep itself hydrated. The muscular body and legs help it speed through the waters and the large hooves scoop the water away to help it swim even faster!

These shy and wonderful winged horses main food is seaweed but sometimes it eats sharks or whales if they’re a threat to the wonderful, colourful fish. It is a good thing that they like seaweed because most days they swim around cleaning up the ocean and eat the seaweed away. Sometimes they do get a bit of cloud candy as a treat or a really hard and long day. Most of the time, they have cloudberries for breakfast and so that they can have a good stretch of their wings in the morning.

Ocean Pegasi have big hearts to help all the animals in marine life but if you are a threat you will be attacked by a big, honed horn. To treat everyone on a big party night or to celebrate a good day’s work they fly up to the clouds and get everyone’s favourite food… cloud candy!

If you have ever seen an Ocean Unicorn you could hand feed one seaweed if you have gained their trust. Maybe also stroke them but NEVER on the horn because if you touch their horn one slight big all the power of the water is gone! Remember though, these are wild creatures so do not try to ride on them as they resent such an intrusion! Let’s keep these graceful creatures safe for future generations.
