Shrekamander

Prologue

You’ve properly been to Wonder-On-Sea.In summer, you probably ate blueberry ice-cream and dug sandcastles in the golden sand.You’ve probably been to the seaside arcades.

But in winter, you might have felt the bitter wind driving the rain and witnessed the ice cream truck or shop gone. You’ve probably seen no-one to play basketball with.Few people visit then.Even the locals aren’t seen there … and some say,the have a good reason.

Chapter 1 

My name is Matthew willberb and I work at the arcades on the pier.Most people call me mat or matti. I am the caretaker of the upper end of the pier.There is a downtown flat where I live,there is a kitchen, a dining area, living room and bedroom. At the pier I mop the floor,find owners of lost things and polish.

A boy taps on the window and yells ‘’let me in please i am in trouble’’ I stare at him not knowing what to do.The arcades are shut but he looks terrified.I should let him in ,opening the door,’’quick hide me’’ he says immediately.

Before I continue with what happens next,there is a story about our town that I need to tell you.it happened along time ago and no-one can really remember it or much detail.you see there was this myth about a shrekamander that walks th streets at a stupid o’clock in the morning and once it heard a sound at 3:00 am.The next morning there were no signs of it for a while.

‘’Why do you need to hide?’’I asked her worried ‘’what is the matter?’’

‘’I’ve seen it now quick lock the doors!’’
